Dolph Ziggler is still an active member of the WWE SmackDown roster and at present is looking to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships alongside Robert Roode. While Ziggler is still one of the company's most dependable stars, he is also smart enough to know that he needs to have a plan B.

Earlier this year, several WWE stars were released out of the blue, which is the way the cut-throat wrestling world works. Ziggler has ensured that his standup ability will be his safety net and will also be a career to step into once his wrestling career comes to an end.

While Ziggler has been performing at a high level for WWE, he has also been touring as a standup comedian and putting down some roots to push this career when he needs to.

Ziggler has already been part of WWE for more than 15 years and still has many years ahead of him. However, his career as a standup comedian could allow him to step into a none-physical environment if he ever suffers a career-ending injury.
