#4 Mickie James
Another Superstar part of the WWE women's roster that hasn't been on television for a long time and has been out due to injury is Mickie James. James tore her ACL in a live event match against Carmella in June 2019 and has yet to return to the ring.
Look who just shut down all of Tony Khan's critics! More HERE.
She, like Ember Moon, was not drafted to either RAW or SmackDown because of her injury. Mickie James was also a part of SmackDown before her injury, moving to the blue brand in the WWE Superstar Shake-up earlier in the year.
James has been medically cleared and can compete in WWE once again, but she revealed that she made the choice to stay at home and not "risk" being at WWE shows if she's "not doing anything". James had this to say about her return, earlier this month:
"The doc had already cleared me, so I was literally just getting that last two weeks to get cleared to come back to in-ring action and everything got shut down. So, I went home and I just haven’t been back since. There’s no need to take that risk of going there if I’m not doing anything. I would rather bide my time and wait for the perfect opportunity."
James was briefly a commentator on WWE's Main Event show during her absence due to injury.
