John Cena has come a long way since he debuted in WWE all those years ago. Rico, who was in WWE with John Cena, recently spoke to Sportskeeda Wrestling, and revealed how Vince McMahon didn't understand Cena's character and that he wanted to let go of Cena.

Cena is still a part of WWE, although he plays a small role these days. The 16-time World Champion is a part-time Superstar, who features only at big PPVs. His last match - if you could call it that - was at WrestleMania 36, where he faced 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt in a Firefly Fun House match.
John Cena has been a free agent with WWE since 2017 and has not been tied down to either RAW or SmackDown. The last WWE Draft that Cena was a part of was back in 2016, when he was picked by SmackDown as the brand's #3 pick behind Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles.
We are not quite sure when John Cena will return to WWE, and if he does, will he be free to appear on either RAW or SmackDown?
