There is quite the history between current WWE and AEW Superstars, especially between Styles-Omega and Rollins-Moxley

It's been more than a year since All Elite Wresting was formed and ever since the promotion was brought into existence, several WWE Superstars have jumped ship to AEW. Occasionally, some of the Superstars left after being released from WWE or in order to find better opportunities in the world of professional wrestling.

Inaugural AEW World Champion Chris Jericho, who is a former WWE World Champion and a record nine-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, also went from WWE to AEW in order to bring a change in his long, illustrious career. Through the years, Jericho has continued to evolve as a professional wrestler and things have been no different for the former 'Le Champion' in his new surroundings at AEW.

Jericho, who is also known for hosting his Saturday Night Special YouTube show, revealed the five talents he would love to have in AEW, among whom two are current WWE Superstars. The 'Demogod' listed both Roman Reigns and Ricochet as two WWE Superstars he would love to see compete under the AEW banner, while he would also love to have NJPW stars Will Ospreay and Kota Ibushi, along with veteran color commentator Don Callis.

It is safe to say that both Ricochet and especially Roman Reigns are two of WWE's biggest assets right now and chances of them jumping ship to AEW is very minimal. Nevertheless, given the status of the present-day WWE roster, there are a host of WWE Superstars who would've revolutionized AEW and still possibly could if they sign with the promotion at some point down the road.

Here are five full-time WWE Superstars from the current roster who could make waves if they headed to AEW.

#5. Seth Rollins could have interesting feuds in AEW

Seth Rollins' current gimmick is arguably one of the best in the business right now and ever since he turned himself into 'The Monday Night Messiah', Rollins has been a vital component of Monday Night RAW.

Similarly, Seth Rollins would also be a huge acquisition for AEW, and given his history with reigning AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley, the two could reignite their feud in a very different yet interesting manner.

Rollins' arrival in AEW could be the perfect platform to set up a feud between Jon Moxley and the returning Tyler Black. The two have a long history, which means there is plenty of backstory that could be incorporated into their rivalry.

#4. Asuka would also be a huge star in AEW

Asuka
Asuka

Asuka is quite possibly the biggest fan-favorite female WWE Superstar there is today and the same would be said of her should she ever head to AEW.

Ever since her initial run in NXT, fans have shown their massive support towards "The Empress of Tomorrow." Presently, Asuka is already a former WWE NXT Women's Champion, RAW Women's Champion, SmackDown Women's Champion, Women's Tag Team Champion, Money in the Bank winner, and Royal Rumble winner, as well.

Asuka competing under the AEW banner would be the biggest female acquisition for the promotion. The Japanese wrestling sensation would add further star power to the already talented AEW women's division, which consists of the likes of Britt Baker, Nyla Rose, Hikaru Shida, and Riho among other notable names. And Asuka would be a front-runner for the division.

With years of experience in her resume, Asuka could easily mix things up with the current AEW roster. Given the Japanese influence on the promotion's women's division, the former WWE Women's Grand Slam Champion is guaranteed to compete in instant classics against the likes of reigning AEW Women's Champion, Hikaru Shida and former champion Riho.

#3. Adam Cole could again clash with Kenny Omega in AEW

The present-day NXT roster is stacked with some of the most talented men and women the business has to offer right now. However, in a division that consists of the likes of Johnny Gargano, Finn Balor, and Tommaso Ciampa and other top names, Adam Cole is quite possibly the most well-established Superstar in the black-and-yellow division.

With Adam Cole around, there barely is a dull moment in NXT and the former NXT Champion has pretty much been on a hot run ever since his debut in 2017. After all, Cole is the longest-reigning NXT Champion in history and is also the leader of one of the most popular WWE factions of all time, The Undisputed Era.

Cole, however, could fit well in AEW given his prior connections to current AEW stars in their time spent together in the independent scene. Prior to going their separate ways, Cole and The Young Bucks were part of the Bullet Club as members of a sub-group called Superkliq, similar to the original Elite trio of Kenny Omega and The Bucks.

Speaking of Omega, Adam Cole also had his issues with the former in Bullet Club before "The Cleaner" eventually fired Cole from the faction Being a part of AEW would certainly lead to the possibility of a dream match between Adam Cole and Kenny Omega.

#2. AJ Styles would shake up AEW

Similarly to Adam Cole, AJ Styles also has a long history with members of The Elite, especially with Kenny Omega. A few years ago, at NJPW: New Year's Dash 2016, Kenny Omega turned his back on then-Bullet Club frontrunner AJ Styles, kicked him out of the faction, took over the leadership reins and formed The Elite.

That turned out to be Styles' final appearance for NJPW, as he made his way to WWE. As the years gradually progressed, Kenny Omega and other members of The Elite carved their legacy in Japan before moving to the US and help create AEW.

AJ Styles' signing would've been one of the biggest gets for All Elite Wrestling. At the back end of the expiration of his contract with WWE, rumors also sparked regarding Styles possibly joining AEW; however, that never happened and it's unlikely for Styles to jump ship in his 40s.

Nevertheless, AJ Styles in AEW would've been a once-in-a-lifetime experience for wrestling fans, much like Styles' run with WWE is. And under the AEW banner, "The Phenomenal One" would've definitely dealt with a lot of unfinished business.

#1. Randy Orton would be a huge addition for AEW

Randy Orton
Randy Orton

Randy Orton has a lot of history with AEW's Cody Rhodes. The latter initially started out in WWE under the wing of Orton and with the guidance of The Viper, Cody eventually broke into the scene, mainly as part of Orton's Legacy faction which also included Ted DiBiase Jr.

Randy Orton is among the most decorated wrestlers in the world of professional wrestling and despite being in his 40s, he is still going strong in the WWE. He's set to challenge for the WWE Championship once again at this year's SummerSlam pay-per-view and has been a centerpiece of Monday Night RAW for months.

Orton is one of the only few WWE veterans who is still competing on a weekly basis and the multi-time former WWE World Champion has elevated numerous wrestlers over the years. Hence, Orton to AEW would definitely be the biggest deal of all time in the promotion's brief history and it could've also led to a mentor-versus-apprentice story between Orton and Cody.

And with the likes of Kenny Omega, 'Adam Page, and MJF a part of the WWE roster, we could seen Randy Orton compete in some absolute dream matches. The Viper also could revisit old rivalries against the likes of Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley, as well.
