When one thinks of the Mount Rushmore of professional wrestling, names like The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Stone Cold Steve Austin immediately come to mind. Some also throw in the name of John Cena, a 16-time WWE Champion.

The name that almost always misses these lists is of Triple H, EVP of WWE and one of the most decorated athletes in the history of wrestling. He made his debut in the mid-90s and went on to carve a legacy for himself that is matched by none. Today, Triple H holds one of the most important positions in WWE and is destined to take the helm from Vince McMahon in the near future.

The journey towards glory hasn't been an easy one for The Game though, as he has literally shed his blood and tears throughout the years to earn the spot he is in at the moment. Let's take a look at 5 televised moments that made Triple H cry tears of joy, and sometimes, sadness.

#5 When Finn Balor relinquished the Universal Title

Finn Balor is one of the most popular Superstars in the world and made his way to WWE after paying his dues in Japan. Triple H immediately knew that he had scored something special in Balor and that he had the right tools to become one of the greatest champions in WWE for years to come.

When Balor made his way to the main roster in 2016, he won a shot at the brand new Universal Title against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam 2016. He came out as The Demon at the PPV and went on to become the first-ever Universal Champion. #4 After his match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 27

Triple H came back on the road to WrestleMania 27 after a long hiatus. He immediately challenged The Undertaker to a match at The Show of Shows. The Phenom had already disposed off Triple H's best friend Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 26.

The two went on to have an incredible match inside Georgia Dome, with The Undertaker standing tall again in the end. A rare clip shows an emotional Triple H approaching The Undertaker backstage. The latter extended his hands for an embrace and the two legends hugged it out, surrounded by teary-eyed officials.

The two would go on to battle again at next year's WrestleMania inside Hell in a Cell, with Shawn Michaels acting as the referee. The visual of the three icons embracing on the ramp with 70,000 fans cheering in unison has gone down in history as the End of an Era.

#3 When he talked about Eddie Guerrero on the tribute show

Eddie Guerrero's death came in as a shock to everyone. He was one of the most loved and popular Superstars in WWE at the time of his death, and passed away at the age of 38. The Raw that aired next week showed Vince McMahon and the entire WWE roster coming out on the ramp and paying their respects to the fallen wrestler.

What followed was a string of backstage shorts that saw Superstars like Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, JBL, and Kurt Angle remember Eddie and share their grief with the WWE Universe. Triple H, a heel at the time, talked about Eddie in a heartfelt message. Although he tried to control his tears as best as he could, The Game couldn't hold it anymore by the end of the clip.

#2 When the first-ever Women's PPV was announced

Last year, the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble match was announced, which was won by The Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka. Months later, The McMahon family stood in the ring on an episode of Monday Night Raw, and addressed the WWE Superstars on the entrance ramp.

The Game asked the women to come ahead and stated how the WWE Universe had supported them through thick and thin. He talked about the efforts they put towards making the Women's Revolution a success, and the incredible matches that they competed in.

From 2-minute bathroom breaks to competing inside Hell in a Cell and the Elimination Chamber, the women had come a long way. Triple H's voice broke while addressing the women, and it was clear that he was unable to hold his tears at that point. Stephanie proceeded to take the mic and made the announcement, but the emotions on the face of Triple H told the whole story that night.

Back in 2011, John Cena faced off against CM Punk in the Money In The Bank PPV for the WWE title. Cena lost the title after Punk managed to hit a thunderous GTS on the former champion. This didn't sit well with Vince, who decided to fire John Cena on Raw. As Vince was about to fire Cena, Triple H's music hit and The Game came down to the ring.

Vince McMahon looked ecstatic on seeing his son-in-law, but his joy soon turned into grief, as Triple H informed him that the Board of Directors had fired him. An incredibly emotional moment followed, as Triple H embraced Vince McMahon amidst a sea of roaring fans. Although Triple H managed to control himself after shedding a few tears, Vince McMahon was an emotional mess on that night.
