5 expected storylines post-Survivor Series

There were many underlying stories developed during Survivor Series

That was some thrashing handed to SmackDown by Raw. The score card on the main-show read 6-0, and that makes Raw the main brand of WWE (a statement which will no doubt be repeated countless times in the near future).

But there were many underlying stories developed as well during Survivor Series. Some glaringly obvious, while others a tad more subtle. The 6-0 scorecard could itself lead to certain developments, and on another note, the inner team bickering on the Raw and SmackDown rosters is going to develop a few storylines as well.

To recap, we had Nia Jax standing tall in the women's 5 on 5 Survivor Series match, whereas in the men's match we had Strowman, McIntyre, and Bobby Lashley standing tall after their match. We had a disappointed Miz blaming Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio for the loss. While Baron Corbin ran before he could "get those hands".

Lets look at possible storylines which could develop after an eventful Survivor Series.

#1 Finn Balor feuding with Drew McIntyre

The feud is already on its way as at writing. Balor and McIntyre have been going at it ever since The Scottish Psychopath feigned saving Finn Balor from Bobby Lashley. Since then, Balor has beaten Ziggler (Drew's partner) in a singles match, and both have been at each other's throats.

Even during the Survivor Series match, both were going after each other, and they even clashed in the ring. But with Finn getting eliminated, and Drew being one of the last members to Survive, it does put Drew on a higher pedestal.

Either way, it does seem like a short feud for Drew where he beats Balor and then ultimately moves on to bigger things, maybe even a shot at the title.

#2 Face turn for Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura hasn't had a feud in a while now, and even his match with Seth Rollins had next to nothing in terms of a build up. Although Nakamura's interview was intriguing.

Gone was the edgy persona of someone who chastised Americans and every time replied by saying, "I can't speak English". This was a calmer version who answered the questions and corrected the interviewer that SmackDown was not an "A" show but an "N" show (standing for Nakamura).

A face turn could do a world of good for Shinsuke at this point in time because he is practically nowhere right now. His heel turn which seemed super impressive at the beginning has fizzled out badly.

A face turn would again bring back the fans who have not really enamoured themselves much with this avatar of Nakamura, and it could bring in some great feuds with antagonists like Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, or even The Miz.

#3 A new Daniel Bryan?

There was something different about the way Daniel Bryan fought against Brock Lesnar. The old Daniel Bryan would have pulled on all his resources and tried to stick around with Brock. But the new Daniel Bryan, as soon as he saw the opportunity, went for the low blow.

It was this low blow that led to a win against AJ Styles, and again it was this low blow that changed the course of the match, and for some time he was able to go on the offensive and put some moves on Brock.

The difference though is that the old Daniel Bryan would never have gone for the low blow. Is this the beginning of a different and new Daniel Bryan?

When Bryan was leaving the ring he had a strange smile on his face, depicting he almost had Brock Lesnar because of the low blow.

#4 Charlotte the next Royal Rumble winner?

First, it was supposed to be a match against Becky Lynch. Then it was changed into a match against Charlotte.

Then it was expected that Ronda would come up tops against her, but what happened was anything but that. Charlotte went on a rampage when she knew she couldn't beat Ronda Rousey, and completely thrashed her.

Rousey was left bloody, injured, and with marks all over her body. What it does is it puts Charlotte on top of the list as the woman Ronda would be looking to put her hands on. With both women on different brands, it certainly raises the prospects of Charlotte winning the Royal Rumble and then challenging Ronda for the title at WrestleMania.

#5 Heel turn for Shane McMahon

Shane was the last man from his team to get eliminated by Braun Strowman

It has been rumoured for a while that Shane McMahon would turn heel. The build-up has been perfect. First of all, Shane did the job of becoming the "Best in the World" by winning the World Cup and bringing the title to SmackDown, then during Survivor Series he was the last man to get eliminated by Team Raw.

To add to this, the SmackDown brand was completely destroyed by the Raw brand, with the scoreline reading 6-0. All of this can be used as fuel to turn Shane heel by him starting to proclaim he is better than the entire roster.

He could use this as a fuel to teach the other members of the roster a lesson. This will also fall in line with the feud between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan, as Shane could be playing the role of intermediator when things go out of hand.
