Things are never settled on WWE pay-per-views until the copyright graphic shows up at the bottom of the screen. At Elimination Chamber, that proved to be true yet again. As Drew McIntyre attempted to recover from his win inside the structure, the cage rose from the ring.

As soon as it cleared the ringposts, Bobby Lashley came out and brutally assaulted McIntyre. He tossed him around the ring area before throwing him back into the ring. Since The Miz made such a huge deal about taking himself out of the Elimination Chamber match on the go-home RAW, something had to be brewing.

McIntyre was left lying in a heap in the ring and The Miz's music hit. With the Money in the Bank briefcase still in play, any time the champion is in the ring is an opportunity for a cash-in. After several failed attempts — and many ensuing losses in matches — The Miz made good on his second briefcase by becoming a two-time WWE Champion. The Elimination Chamber is one of the most brutal matches in WWE history and one of the best spots for a cash-in afterward.

His cash-in follows standard heel and briefcase cash-in protocol: take advantage of the champion when he or she has just gone through a hard-fought contest. It will be easy for fans to be angry at The Miz but he literally laid out his gameplan on last week's RAW. It's actually a brilliant, simple strategy that paid off after weeks of getting crushed by the Scottish Warrior.

Now that McIntyre has lost the title once again, he's going to be embroiled in a feud with the new champion following Elimination Chamber. It might happen on RAW or at Fastlane but McIntyre won't let this stand.

However, while the A-Lister might be a target, the man who attacked him will also be in the crosshairs of the former title holder.
