Once The Shield broke up, Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins would be one of WWE's go-to matches for 2014 and 2015.

However, the company did their best to prevent giving either man big wins against each other and holding off until the time was right.

Though a match was planned for Survivor Series 2015, Rollins' knee injury pushed the match back further and set the stage for their hellacious main event at the 2016 Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

With Reigns as then champion and Rollins back from injury with a legit claim to the title, the timing was perfect for their title match.

It remains their biggest match to-date, but both men have faced off in singles matches since 2016 and none have been a letdown.

There haven't been as many significant matches between these two as you would expect, but where they make up for it is the fact that both Reigns and Rollins have been the closest to each other in terms of their push and success.

Those similarities have always made their matches more interesting and only a small preview of what they'd be capable of.

Rollins is currently defending the Intercontinental Championship while Reigns pursues the Universal Championship, but we'll be guaranteed some fantastic wrestling the next time these two cross paths again.
