The breakup of The Shield was a divisive topic when it happened and there were some people who felt WWE could've gotten more out of the group.

But whether you thought it was too early or not, it can't be denied that it gave us one of the best feuds of the modern era.

Ambrose and Rollins made WWE can't-miss TV when their feud kicked off in the summer of 2014 and led to some of the best segments and matches we've seen in the past few years.

Their first match that kickstarted their rivalry was the 2014 Money in the Bank Ladder Match that was filled with just enough chaos and violence between them to have fans desperate to see more of this rivalry in the future.

In 2015, their matches graduated from defining the midcard to a battle over the WWE World Heavyweight Championship that helped add credibility to Rollins as a world champion.

By 2016, WWE finally gave Ambrose his shot at the belt and Rollins was now the challenger chasing a champion who had beaten him in the past but could not defeat at the time.

Ambrose versus Rollins is undoubtedly a great feud and fans can't wait to see The Lunatic Fringe and The Architect go to war once again.

Hopefully, that war is right around the corner...
