Rhea Ripley stuffed Dakota Kai inside a locker on NXT!
Rhea Ripley stuffed Dakota Kai inside a locker on NXT!

Another week of WWE programming has ended, and SmackDown produced a banger of a show that has many fans buzzing. While RAW Legends Night turned out to be a slightly disappointing affair, NXT fantastically redeemed things by delivering a terrific top-to-bottom New Year's Evil show.

Some of the standout moments of the week were Adam Pearce emerging as the challenger to Roman Reigns' Universal Title at WWE Royal Rumble 2021 on SmackDown, Goldberg returning to lay down a challenge to Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship on WWE RAW, and the Last Woman Standing match between Rhea Ripley and Raquel Gonzalez on NXT.

So without any further delays, let's dive in and enjoy a good dose of laughter while discussing the 5 most hilarious WWE moments from the week. Do share your favorite funniest moments of the week in the comments section below.

#1 Rhea Ripley stuffs Dakota Kai in a locker on WWE NXT, with the latter tweeting while stuck inside

On WWE NXT: New Year's Evil, Rhea Ripley took on Raquel Gonzalez in a Last Woman Standing match that has already worked its way into the conversation of being an early Match of the Year contender. The two women wrestled a highly-creative bout that ended with Gonzalez coming out on top in a star-making performance.

Amid this grueling battle, there was a moment when Dakota Kai interfered in the match and attacked Ripley. After being dominated by Kai for a while, the former WWE NXT Women's Champion soon found her footing and stuffed Dakota Kai in a locker. Kai was seemingly stuck in there for a long time, with no mention of her on the rest of the show.

Though it wasn't supposed to be hilarious, the visual of Kai being stuffed inside a locker is way too funny to be seen with a straight face. The brutal kicks Ripley unleashed after Kai was trapped were icing on the cake. God knows what would have been of poor Kai after she was pulled out of the locker. To her credit, she did manage to send out this tweet while locked up inside.

#4 Kofi Kingston twerking mid-way in The New Day's match against The Miz and John Morrison on WWE RAW

Yes, WWE RAW Legends Night was pretty frustrating, but it wasn't short of some funny moments. One of those moments came during the match between The New Day and the duo of The Miz and John Morrison, where Kofi Kingston began twerking in the ring out of nowhere. Xavier Woods was also in his element as he grooved along with his stablemate, albeit from a distance.

Both Miz and Morrison had no idea what to do except look at each other, while Kofi was on a different high altogether. It's the kind of moment that may have fell flat if someone else did it, but because Kofi has mastered the art of striking a balance between humor and seriousness, this worked wonders.

Even after engaging in such fun shenanigans, The New Day came out on top on WWE RAW, proving yet again how they are smarter and entertaining than the duo of Miz and Morrison.

#3 Shotzi Blackheart takes a shot at Austin Theory on WWE NXT

WWE NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano celebrated his successful title defense against Leon Ruff last week. He was accompanied by his wife Candice Le Rae, Austin Theory, and Indi Hartwell in the ring. Just when their party was reaching the next gear, an unwanted guest in the form of Shotzi Blackheart played the spoilsport.

Gargano sent his buddy Theory to tackle Shotzi and her mini-tank, but the poor man had no idea what was to come. Shotzi released a shot from her tank that hit Theory exactly where it hurts the most. Reeling in pain, the NXT Breakout Star of the Year did some of the best selling of his career. This was right up there with the likes of Dolph Ziggler and Shawn Michaels.

Apart from his terrific in-ring skills, Theory has showcased his brilliant comedic chops in recent weeks. He's too talented of a Superstar to stay away from the spotlight for long. Maybe a feud with his own mentor, Gargano, will take him to the next level.

#2 Billie's Kay 2021 is as bad as her 2020 on WWE SmackDown

Away from the intense developments on other parts of the show, Billie Kay brought some much-needed lightness to this week's WWE SmackDown. After struggling to get herself recruited by The Riott Squad, even after claiming she was as edgy and cool as them, Kay had a meltdown and spoke about how her 2021 is turning out to be just as bad as 2020.

Yes, that sounds utterly relatable and depressing, but it was played for laughs, and surely achieved that. The former WWE Women's Tag-Team champion has excellent comic timing, and it struck a chord here.

Kay could do with convincing WWE management to let her realign with her best friend Peyton Royce on WWE RAW. However, Royce recently scored a pinfall victory on Charlotte Flair for her team with Lacey Evans and is possibly heading towards a Women's Tag-Tag titles match.

#1 Angel Garza falls into a trap laid by Torrie Wilson, Nikki Cross and R-Truth on WWE RAW

A 'Hilarious Moments of Week' list without the presence of R-Truth is simply impossible. In the funniest moment from this week's WWE RAW, 24/7 Champion Angel Garza expectedly showed up to woo Torrie Wilson, who was tagging along with Nikki Cross at the time.

However, Wilson was in no mood to mingle and told him Cardi B was waiting in a room down in the basement for him. Garza being Garza, he made his way to the room, only to find The Boogeyman there.

A scared Garza ran out of the room only to find R-Truth, who rolled him up for a win, thus starting his historic 46th reign with the WWE 24/7 Championship. Wilson and Cross joined Truth in celebrating the monumental feat.

It was hilarious, but the best was yet to come. The camera panned and revealed Ron Simmons, who would end the segment with his iconic "DAMN."
