Sami Callihan debuted in Lucha Underground under the moniker of Jeremiah Crane, the on-screen boyfriend of Ivelisse. In its third season, proprietor Dario Cueto introduced a 32-man tournament with the winner receiving The Cueto Cup and a shot at the Lucha Underground Championship.

Crane was also one of the participants in the tourney and after picking up a victory against Killshot, he was scheduled to square off against Taya in the second round. The match was short and Crane would advance to the following round.

In the interview with Sportskeeda's Gary Cassidy, Sami Callihan reflected on his encounter with the current Impact Women's Champion from their Lucha Underground days.

Me and Taya Valkyrie's match from Lucha Underground doesn't get enough press for how good it was. It's right up there with my matches with Tessa Blanchard.

#5 Sami Callihan vs Brian Cage vs Keith Lee (PWG)

At the PWG Nice Boys event in May 2017, Sami Callihan battled Brian Cage and the current NXT Superstar, Keith Lee, in a triple threat match. The viewers not only praised Callihan for the spots performed by him but also for taking massive bumps from the two behemoths throughout the match.

The crowd was highly invested in the matchup from the get-go and it served as the perfect PWG debut for Keith Lee. Although many have criticized the match for involving too many offensive spots, the triple threat encounter is mostly remembered as one of the best openers for any PWG event.

#4 Jeremiah Crane vs Mil Muertes vs Cage (Lucha Underground)

Night 4 of Ultima Lucha Tres featured a Gauntlet of the Gods Three-Way Elimination match between Jeremiah Crane, Mil Muertes and Cage. Like most of the matches in Lucha Underground, this was also a must-see encounter with the three athletes giving their all to win the Gauntlet of the Gods.

Crane fell short of winning the coveted Gauntlet as he was eliminated by Cage, who was eventually defeated by Mil Muertes. Despite being the first participant to be eliminated, Jeremiah Crane put up a showing that will be hard for a pro-wrestling fan to overlook.

#3 Adam Cole vs Sami Callihan (PWG)

Unlike other matches on the list, this battle of Sami Callihan dates back to June 2013 when he squared off against Adam Cole for the PWG World Championship. Owing to their previous confrontations, the two were set to fight each other in a 60-minute Iron Man match for the title at the 'PWG Is Your Body Ready?' event.

In the initial moments of the match, Cole earned three quick pinfalls over The Draw but Callihan retaliated by winning three falls over the PWG World Champion around the 30-minute mark. As both the wrestlers were at a 3-3 tie, the fans witnessed a more hard-hitting and back-and-forth matchup in its final half.

Adam Cole went on to retain his title with a 6-5 score over Sami Callihan and in the process, the pro-wrestling fans were treated to one of the most memorable PWG World Championship defenses of all time.

#2 Sami Callihan vs Pentagon Jr. (Impact Wrestling)

Sami Callihan made his way into Impact Wrestling towards the end of 2017. In the upcoming months, he would renew his feud with Pentagon Jr. from Lucha Underground and they were set to settle the scores at Slammiversary XVI.

As Callihan had initially attempted to remove Pentagon Jr.'s mask following an assault with a baseball bat, Impact Wrestling added the stipulation of 'Mask vs Hair' to their match. After a brutal affair, Pentagon Jr. won the match at Slammiversary and as per the clause, he shaved Sami Callihan's hair with some aid from the former's brother Fenix.

Although Callihan lost and had to have his hair shaved off, his battle with Pentagon will always be considered as something that elevated his status on Impact Wrestling.

#1 Sami Callihan vs Tessa Blanchard (Impact Wrestling)

Fans have been skeptical regarding intergender wrestling through the years but Sami Callihan and Tessa Blanchard made sure that they give it a check. Building up to Slammiversary XVII, the two had an incredible feud and owing to its popularity, Callihan and Blanchard got to main event Impact's premier pay-per-view this year.

Both of the performers utilized this opportunity and delivered an instant classic for the worldwide viewers. The Callihan Death Machine would emerge victorious at Slammiversary but that didn't conclude their rivalry. When Gary Cassidy interviewed him for an edition of Dropkick DiSKussions, Sami Callihan disclosed that they recently had another matchup and how Tessa Blanchard has become one of his favorite opponents.

We just wrestled again at my company, The Wrestling Revolver, which you can check out on the HighSpots Wrestling Network as well as all social media platforms at PWRevolver and on the website, ProWrestlingRevolver.com.
Me and Tessa actually went to battle again and this time it was in an Ohio Street fight. Each time it gets crazier, a little crazier, a little crazier. Tessa Blanchard, I never thought I would have said this in 100 years but Tessa Blanchard has become one of the biggest rivalries of my career.

We hope Sami Callihan keeps on entertaining the pro-wrestling fans with more fantastic matchups like these.
