WWE WrestleMania 35 took place on April 7, 2019, emanating once again from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This was the second WrestleMania event to take place inside MetLife Stadium, with the first being WrestleMania 29 six years prior in 2013.

The entertainment spectacular was once again a huge success and historic event for WWE. WrestleMania 35 drew a capacity crowd of 82,265 fans. This meant WrestleMania 35 became the third highest attended event in WrestleMania history.

WrestleMania 35 was historic for featuring the first-ever Women's main event in WrestleMania history. RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey, SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch faced off in a triple threat match to close the show. The match was billed as a "Winner Takes All" match for both the RAW and SmackDown Women's Championships. Becky Lynch won the match after controversially pinning Ronda Rousey.

WrestleMania 35 also featured several other high profile matches on the lengthy card. Seth Rollins defeated Brock Lesnar in quick fashion to open the show and become the WWE Universal Champion. Shane McMahon defeated The Miz in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Kofi-Mania ran wild as Kofi Kingston defeated Daniel Bryan to win the WWE Championship for the first time.

WrestleMania 35 was also the first WrestleMania since WrestleMania 2000, nineteen years prior, to not feature an appearance or match by The Undertaker.

WrestleMania 35 also featured the final matches for two WWE legends before their respective retirements. Baron Corbin defeated Kurt Angle in his retirement match. Whereas Triple H defeated former Evolution teammate Batista in a No Holds Barred match. Had Triple H lost the match, he would have been forced to retire from in-ring competition. However, after the event, Batista announced his retirement.
