Shawn Michaels was not the biggest of men when he made his WWE debut. In an industry dominated by big muscular men, HBK proved to be a difference maker.

Michaels entertained the fans with his charismatic personality and wrestling skills. He soon became one of the top stars in the company and changed the landscape of the WWE.

Michaels had his last match against the Undertaker at WrestleMania 26 in 2010. After an illustrious in-ring career with the WWE, Michaels is now in his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame.

No Superstar came close to matching the abilities of Michaels. But after 7 years from HBK's retirement, WWE may have finally discovered a possible replacement in Adam Cole.

Adam Cole made his WWE debut in August 2017 and he has been unstoppable ever since. Cole won the first-ever war-games match in NXT and is now the inaugural NXT North American Champion.

Similar to Michaels, Cole is not the biggest of men compared to the other Superstars. But, that didn't stop him from turning into one of NXT's pinnacle points of interest.

We can expect big things for Adam Cole when he gets called up to the main roster. He is without a doubt the ideal contender to succeed Shawn Michaels.
