When Christian came for a WWE TV taping in August 2011, he was told that he would be wrestling Drew McIntyre. He was extremely upset though, not because he had to compete with McIntyre, but because the taping was for WWE Superstars rather than SmackDown.

The two men were involved in one of the best Superstars matches which went on for around 15 minutes. The two men’s mission was to show the creative team of the WWE that they were missing out on something special.

After the match, Christian went to Triple H and revealed to him that McIntyre was an extremely good wrestler and should be given more chances at the top.

Edge, on the other hand, battled McIntyre on a few occasions. Even though McIntyre since has admitted that he wasn’t as good then as he is now and would rush some moves or finishers especially against a star like Edge, The Rated-R Superstar had opposing views.

Recently the WWE Hall Of Famer spoke with Inside The Ropes where he revealed that Drew McIntyre should headline WrestleMania 35 in his opinion.

“Who do I think is the guy that should be plugged in that situation? Drew McIntyre. I always really liked Drew, we have always gotten along and he’s always come to me for advice. I know that he comes because he actually wants advice, he implements that advice or at least tries to.”
