Otis has proved, time and again that he is one of the more entertaining Superstars in the WWE roster at the moment, but he isn't ready to become the Universal Champion yet. If he does become the WWE Universal Champion at SummerSlam 2020, the crowd is likely to turn on him, and this is not going to be the best decision for his career, at all.
There is no need to rush the storyline at all because it is amply clear that the Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman storyline needs to conclude at SummerSlam 2020 because it is convoluted enough already, with the presence of Alexa Bliss.
WWE does not need to add yet another element in the form of Otis into this hodge-podge of a storyline. Comedy and horror do not mix unless you're trying to drive the story in that direction and this would be a mistake at SummerSlam 2020.
