Whenever a wrestling fan talks about WrestleMania and its storied history, The Undertaker's name pops up immediately. The Phenom made his WrestleMania debut at the 7th edition of the annual extravaganza and went on to carve out possibly the greatest streak in all of pro-wrestling. Taker has stated several times in the past that WrestleMania is his yard, and rightfully so.

The Biggest Party of the Summer is almost upon us. Looking back at the history of possibly the 2nd biggest WWE PPV of the year, one can't help but think of who is worthy enough to call SummerSlam his yard. Many have said that Bret "The Hitman" Hart is worthy of making that statement, but there's a certain beast who makes an even stronger case when it comes to calling SummerSlam his yard.

Let's take a look at 5 moments that prove why SummerSlam is Brock Lesnar's yard.

It didn't take long for Brock Lesnar to make a mark on the main roster following his debut on the night after WrestleMania 18. He went on to win the King of the Ring tournament and became the #1 contender for the WWE title at SummerSlam. At Vengeance 2002, The Rock defeated Kurt Angle and Undertaker to win the WWE title and kicked off a feud with the rookie.

At SummerSlam, the crowd got behind Lesnar as The Rock was set to leave WWE for Hollywood after the PPV. Lesnar defeated The Rock with an F5 and won his first WWE title to an incredibly positive reaction from the crowd. This was just the beginning, as Lesnar went on to compete and put down the likes of Undertaker, Kurt Angle, and The Big Show in the coming months.

#4 Lesnar squashes Cena

After shocking the wrestling world at WrestleMania 30 by breaking The Undertaker's legendary streak, Brock Lesnar set his sights on the WWE World title. The original plans called for Lesnar to squash Daniel Bryan at The Biggest Party of the Summer, but Bryan's injury saved him from a ruthless beating at the hands of Lesnar.

Lesnar faced Cena at the PPV for the gold, and the match was far from what the fans had been expecting coming in. The two Superstars had fought before, with Cena actually beating Lesnar upon his in-ring return at Extreme Rules 2012.

This time though, Lesnar had other plans in mind. He delivered a total of 16 suplexes to Cena, completely squashing him to win the match and the title. The destruction cemented Lesnar as the most dangerous entity in all of WWE at the time, and he never looked back.

#3 An instant classic with Angle

At WrestleMania 19, Brock Lesnar defeated Kurt Angle in the main event of the night, to win his 2nd WWE title. Lesnar and Angle went on to become best friends but the friendship didn't last long. Brock turned on Angle on an episode of SmackDown and turned heel in the process. At SummerSlam 2003, the two athletes met again for the WWE title. The roles from WrestleMania 19 were reversed here, with Angle now being the fan-favorite babyface, and Lesnar donning the persona of the dastardly heel.

The classic encounter saw the two Superstars go to great lengths to try and bag the title, with Vince McMahon desperately trying to help Lesnar win the match. Unfortunately for the villains, Angle succeeded in overcoming the odds and making Lesnar tap out to keep the title on his waist. This bout was just one of several instances that proved that Lesnar and Angle were able to create magic whenever they met inside the squared circle.

#2 The Viper is put down

The spring of 2002 saw possibly the greatest batch of WWE rookies making their way to the main roster. The class consisted of the likes of Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Batista, and Randy Orton. All four Superstars went on to become multiple-time champions. By the time SummerSlam 2016 rolled around, WWE announced that Brock Lesnar will face Randy Orton at The Biggest Party of the Summer. The match was dubbed by WWE as "fifteen years in the making".

At SummerSlam, Lesnar delivered a beating of a lifetime to Randy Orton, as a horrified crowd watched in stunned silence. The Beast didn't flinch one bit while hitting Orton with elbow shots and opening him up. Orton received ten stitches to the head soon after, and he lost the match via technical knockout.

#1 Overcoming difficult odds

At SummerSlam 2017, Lesnar faced possibly the biggest challenge of his career, as he faced three Superstars in a Fatal Four-Way match for his Universal title. Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, and Braun Strowman were all looking forward to winning the title, and the odds were heavily stacked against The Beast.

During the match, Strowman hit Lesnar with a running powerslam on the announce table. A second running powerslam on Lesnar was followed by Strowman overturning a table on him. This prompted medical personnel to arrive and take an unconscious Lesnar away.

Somehow, he came back and went on to hit Roman Reigns with an F5 in the closing moments of the match, successfully retaining his Universal title. With three dominant heavyweights looking to dethrone him, Lesnar had little chance of leaving the building with the belt on his waist, but he ended up doing just that.
