5 more teams for the women’s tag-team division

Who else could join the division?
Who else could join the division?

Following on from our first piece regarding five teams who we believe should enter WWE's reincarnation of the women's division, we're back with five more - and the most surprising thing of all is that they're all quite realistic.

Some would think that having ten teams for a division such as this would be impossible, and yet, it could quite easily happen.

All five of these potential teams have a connection of some sort, and if WWE were to do a tournament in order to crown the first set of champions, don't be surprised to see these entrants.

As we move ahead with the women's revolution it really is exciting to consider just how many possibilities there are moving forward, and it's a testament to how far we've come.

With that being said, here are five more teams for the women's tag team division.

#5 Riott Squad

The Freebird Rule?
The Freebird Rule?

Everybody loves The Freebird Rule, especially when it's used in an effective way. The New Day are perfect examples of why it can work so well, and when it comes to the Riott Squad, it feels like a perfect fit.

Morgan, Riott and Logan are all starting to mesh together quite nicely as a unit, and they're beginning to build some momentum as a sneaky and unhinged faction.

Any combination of the two would work well together as a team, and given that they're heels, they could prove to be interesting foes for whoever the champions may be.

As singles stars, Morgan and Logan could still use some work, so putting them together with an established in-ring competitor like Riott would make for a good dynamic in a tag team title setting.

#4 Absolution

Rose & Deville are a fun pairing

Losing Paige has certainly impacted the progress and development of Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose, which is a shame because as a duo, they probably have a little bit more potential than the Riott Squad.

Still, if they're able to build themselves up individually over the next few weeks, it could make an eventual run at the women's tag titles even more interesting.

The two seem to have an unspoken chemistry which tends to make for good viewing, and it also hides some of their weaknesses in the ring.

We aren't suggesting that they're going to be guaranteed world champions one day, but keeping them together, at least for the next few months, is the best thing WWE could do if they want to get the best out of Absolution.

#3 Nia Jax & Ember Moon

Could these two work together?
Could these two work together?

While this partnership may seem a little bit random, these two actually have history together. Ember Moon made her main roster debut the night after WrestleMania 34, where she teamed with Raw Women's Champion Nia Jax.

They could build off of that chemistry in search of Jax gaining yet another championship, and a rematch against Alexa Bliss and Mickie James would probably be a good way to start things off - especially if they run a tournament.

You could build up the idea that these two are physically and athletically superior to everyone else on Raw and SmackDown Live, meaning that whoever dethrones them will get a pretty big rub as a result.

Jax is still continuing to grow as an in-ring performer and Moon is still trying to find her character, so it makes sense for them to learn from each other.

#2 Alexa Bliss & Mickie James

Speaking of Bliss and James, we come to our next entry. While some will think that Mickie deserves better than just being a glorified bodyguard (and they're right), this team could be a great way in which she could slowly return to her babyface ways.

If James does all the hard work in matches while Bliss stands there and applauds, the fans will continue to get behind her.

Bliss could spot this, and it could lead to friction between the duo. Obviously, that's not the only route they could go down, but given the history between these two, it'd be fascinating to see how far they could stretch it out.

It already feels like they're destined to square off again one day anyway, so why not get some good tag team matches out of them first?

#1 Sasha Banks & Bayley

Best friends forever - right?
Best friends forever - right?

We've all seen the issues between Sasha Banks and Bayley which have been playing out on WWE television for months now, but nothing has really escalated to the point where an actual feud feels like it's on the way.

They seem to be holding off on it until a big show, and if that's the case, then they may as well let them make amends on screen before going after the tag titles.

Banks seems to be in a bit of a rut right now in terms of her booking and it'd give her something fresh to do away from the world title scene, and Bayley is in a similar position.

There's no doubting that they should inevitably break up, probably during a tag title match on pay per view, but for the time being it makes sense to see them have some fun as a team.
