Dominik Mysterio will get a big match against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. This will be the debut match for Rey Mysterio's son in WWE. You may think Dominik is getting such a major match at WWE's second-biggest PPV of the year because Vince McMahon is fond of him. However, that may not be the case.
The reason for Dominik Mysterio getting such a push is because of his father Rey Mysterio. It was reported that the former WWE Champion wanted his son to get a singles match at SummerSlam before he re-signed with WWE after his contract had expired.
Now that Rey Mysterio has finally signed a new contract with WWE, it is likely that Vince McMahon will go ahead with his vision of how Dominik should be booked. Though it was believed that Dominik might pull an upset over Seth Rollins with the help of Rey Mysterio and his allies, it seems highly improbable now that Vince McMahon gets to book his run as he wants.
