#6. Fake - Santino Marella and Maria

Santino Marella and Maria were paired up on WWE TV because they were both very good at comedy. Maria had already proved herself as a backstage interviewer and was given a chance by being paired up with Marella and by all accounts the couple actually worked.

It's hard to imagine that the two stars were any more than friends, but this was a time before Maria left WWE and met her future husband in Mike Kanellis. This means that in between her relationship with CM Punk, and her marriage to The Miracle, her relationship status is unknown. So, many fans did speculate that she and Marella were together even though they weren't.

#5. Real - Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae

Over the past few years, NXT has been taken over by the feud between Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, a feud that began back in 2017. As part of their epic rivalry, WWE signed Gargano's real-life wife Candice LeRae to NXT and she has since been part of the story.

The feud finally reached its climax a week ago on NXT and once again LeRae was in the middle of the action when she was able to help her husband to victory. WWE hasn't made a huge deal out of the connection between the two stars, but Gargano married LeRae back in 2016 and interestingly, Tommaso Ciampa was a groomsman at his wedding.
