Bobby Lashley made his way to WWE SmackDown in September 2005 and soon established himself as a major babyface on the Blue brand. His biggest push came on the road to WrestleMania 23, where he represented Donald Trump in the "Battle of the Billionaires", which saw him defeat Umaga, who was representing Mr. McMahon. The match was heavily promoted by WWE and resulted in WrestleMania 23 registering record buys.
Lashley went on to feud with Vince McMahon over the next few months and later got into a rivalry with John Cena over the WWE title. Following the feud, Lashley was out of action for months on end, due to suffering a legit injury in the WWE title match. Lashley was later cleared by WWE's doctors to return, but he decided to take his merry time to be completely sure that he was completely fit to get back in the ring. This didn't sit well with Vince McMahon, which was instrumental in his push getting halted and him eventually getting released by WWE in February 2008.

While he started writing WWE articles for Sportskeeda in 2019 as a hobby, it eventually became a significant part of his professional journey.

He has interviewed prominent pro wrestling personalities like Noam Dar, Angry Miz Girl, Brendan Cobbina, and Jesse Lambert. Abhilash is a big fan of AEW star Orange Cassidy, as he believes the former International Champion’s on-screen gimmick of an extremely lazy guy resonates with him.
Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
When not reporting on pro wrestling, Abhilash likes to work out, go on walks, read, and explore new eateries.
