Aalyah Mysterio has shared the spotlight with her family members over recent weeks, garnering the attention of the WWE Universe. The Mysterio family joined forces to take down WWE Superstar Murphy just a week ago, but in the latest installment of the RAW, the youngest Mysterio showed compassion for the disciple.
Murphy has been in hot water with The Monday Night Messiah over the past few weeks. Every time the former Cruiserweight Champion tries to help, it seems to go wrong.
Last night on RAW was another example of Murphy's best intentions going awry. The disciple was told to stay away from ringside but came down to help Seth Rollins, handing him a kendo stick, which was later used by Dominik Mysterio. Later in the match, Murphy inadvertently hit Rollins with the cage door in an attempt to thwart Dominik's comeback attempt.
This led to another beat down before Rollins walked off and left Murphy on the floor, where he was approached by Aalyah Mysterio. Could this be leading to something much bigger for the youngest member of the Mysterio family?
#5. Does Aalyah Mysterio want to join The Monday Night Messiah?
Whilst it would be a huge swerve, there is always the possibility that Aalyah doesn't want to be on the good side anymore. The WWE Universe doesn't know a lot about the 19-year-old, other than being present brother's corner several times and watching him lose to Seth Rollins.
Last night could have been the turning point for Aalyah Mysterio when she saw Dominik receive two curb stomps from The Monday Night Messiah. Perhaps Aalyah Mysterio is smart enough to know that Murphy is the weak link in the partnership and that if she wants to get to Rollins then she should go through him.
Maybe Aalyah Mysterio wants to turn heel already and wants to help the man who has been making her father and brother's life hell for the past few months, or this is her way in so that she can exact her own revenge.
#4. Aalyah's act was completely innocent
Could Aalyah just be genuinely compassionate? While caught up in a moment of concern for her brother, did her emotions get the best of her?
Whilst it's hard to believe that this was an error, it could be that it was completely innocent, and WWE were just trying to show that Aalyah is a kind soul. Her father even said that he felt sorry for Murphy after what unfolded last night on Raw since he is in a lose/lose situation with Seth Rollins after he saved his career.
This could be more about Aalyah Mysterio than it is about Murphy, whilst it could be teasing a storyline between the two stars. This could also be revealing small things about the 19-year-old's personality which show that she's different.
Aalyah's on-screen character development is in progress
Aalyah Mysterio arrived out of nowhere and has since been part of the action, so this could just be a way for WWE to show more about the newcomer without her having to spell it out.
If Aalyah Mysterio is a kind-hearted individual then it would make sense for her to feel sorry for Murphy, and in turn, it makes the WWE Universe feel sorry for the former Champion as well.
#3. Aalyah Mysterio feels bad for her part in last week's beat down
Aalyah Mysterio's first real piece of the action in WWE was last week when she was part of the family beat down with Murphy. The former Cruiserweight Champion was left alone last week since Seth Rollins wasn't in attendance. Following his match with Dominik, he was given the same treatment that Mysterio endured a few weeks ago.
Aalyah Mysterio climbed into the ring with a kendo stick and landed just as many shots on Murphy as her father, mother, and brother. It's easy to imagine that the youngest Mysterio watched the issues unfold between Murphy and Rollins, realizing that Rollins was the bad guy and Murphy was only acting on orders.
Perhaps Aalyah Mysterio is now feeling bad for her part in the beat down since Murphy is already in a position where Rollins is beating him on a regular basis. Now Murphy is the one being attacked by the Mysterio family.
If she's anything like her father, she has a heart of gold and will want to ensure that Murphy is alright.
#2. Aalyah Mysterio could be looking to help Murphy switch sides
The Monday Night Messiah came out on top in a steel cage once again last night, providing a recent history of dominance over the male members of the Mysterio family. Seth Rollins has taken out Rey and Dominik in a variety of matches.
This could be a new angle where Aalyah Mysterio is looking to help Murphy to leave Seth's side so that he can then join the Mysterio family and help them to find Rollins' weaknesses.
The former World Champion has had a number of disciples, with The Authors of Pain released recently and Austin Theory sent back to NXT. At the moment, Murphy is all that Rollins has left.
If Aalyah Mysterio can swoop in and show Murphy that being by Rollins's side isn't the best move for him, then it's possible that he could turn face and help them to finally overcome their issues with Rollins.
Whilst it was just a tiny moment, Aalyah Mysterio touching Murphy's arm, this could be a huge turning point in what has become a bitter WWE feud.
#1. Could this be the beginning of Seth Rollins vs Murphy
Aalyah Mysterio's latest act of kindness could be leading to a clash between the Monday Night Messiah and his last disciple.
Seth Rollins and Murphy seem to be destined to go their separate ways. Murphy is a talented performer, but he has been beaten down whenever he makes a mistake at the hands of Rollins.
There have been a number of splits on WWE TV recently and several teams losing a member: The IIconics, Sasha Banks and Bayley, Jimmy and Jey Uso (Jimmy's injury), Otis and Mandy Rose, (Mandy's move to Raw), The Viking Raiders (Ivar's Injury). So, WWE may want to delay this split to allow the others to breathe for a while.
Aalyah Mysterio could be the beginning of this story if she is able to come between Seth Rollins and his disciple. This could prove difficult since Murphy currently has all of the respect for Rollins which is why he follows him around aimlessly.
If someone like Aalyah Mysterio can change Murphy's outlook, then this could be the start of a feud between the two former friends. The result of this feud could be deserving of a main event match at any WWE pay-per-view. There is a reason why Aalyah Mysterio has been brought onto WWE TV and this could be her storyline.
