WWE Universe has been clamoring for a match between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley for years now. Following the events of last night, there may not be a better time for WWE to pull the trigger on this dream match.

On RAW last night, Bobby Lashley defeated The Miz to win his first WWE Championship. The era of The Almighty has begun, and things are looking good for Lashley on the Road to WrestleMania 37.

Bobby Lashley has been one of the most dominant WWE Superstars of the past year or so. He has put down Superstars one after the other on RAW and has finally bagged a well-deserved WWE Championship victory. Now, assuming that Bobby Lashley heads into WrestleMania as the WWE Champion, this list will focus on five reasons why Brock Lesnar should come back and challenge Bobby Lashley for the title at The Show of Shows.

#5 Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley is dubbed by fans as a legit dream match

Brock Lesnar parted ways with WWE on a sour note in March 2004, immediately after his loss to Goldberg at WrestleMania XX. More than a year after Brock Lesnar's departure, Bobby Lashley made his way to SmackDown and soon became one of the most dominant entities in all of WWE. Lashley would leave WWE in early 2008. Brock Lesnar came back to WWE in 2012, while Lashley did in 2018.

For around two years, WWE had the opportunity to have these two legit fighters face off in the ring, but fans never got to witness the same.

Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley have both done incredibly well for themselves in both WWE and MMA and are two terrifying behemoths. With WWE always keeping the duo apart, this match has become one of the biggest dream contests. If WWE manages to bring back Brock Lesnar for a short run, this match makes the most sense, as both these Superstars aren't getting any younger.

#4 With WrestleMania just around the corner, WWE needs Brock Lesnar more than ever

Brock Lesnar's WWE contract expired last year, and he hasn't been seen on TV ever since his huge loss to Drew McIntyre in the main event of WrestleMania 36. Over the past ten months or so, WWE RAW has seen a major dip in the weekly ratings, and fans are tuning out with each passing week in big numbers. WrestleMania 37 is mere weeks away, and WWE wouldn't want to see the ratings take more big hits as they move closer to the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Brock Lesnar's return on the Road to WrestleMania to feud with Bobby Lashley would certainly make for some must-watch TV and guarantee good ratings for the Red brand.

Additionally, Brock Lesnar is still one of the biggest names in pro-wrestling, and having him at WrestleMania is a no-brainer for WWE. He is a larger-than-life athlete, and people don't think twice before flocking in to see him wrestle at a big stage like WrestleMania.

#3 MVP must not have forgotten what Brock Lesnar did to him at Royal Rumble 2020

Brock Lesnar delivered one of the greatest Royal Rumble performances in history last year and threw out a string of Superstars in his quest to win the big one. One of those wrestlers was a returning MVP, who was thrown out of the match by Brock Lesnar in 24 seconds. MVP hadn't planned on getting embarrassed like this upon returning, but Brock Lesnar's might was too much for the former US Champion.

Now, MVP is the brains behind the most dominant faction on WWE TV, The Hurt Business. He has Bobby Lashley by his side as well. WWE has done an incredible job of building up Lashley as a dominant monster on RAW over the past year or so.

WWE could weave a storyline on the road to WrestleMania, which would see MVP calling out Lesnar and bragging that The Beast can't touch him, now that Lashley is by his side. This would lead to a big match at WrestleMania, with Lashley defending his title, as well as MVP's honor, against Brock Lesnar.

#2 Bobby Lashley has wanted a match against Brock Lesnar for a long time now

It has been almost a year since Brock Lesnar left WWE. Since then, Bobby Lashley has talked about a possible match against The Beast on numerous occasions. Lashley has put out tweets, has given interviews, and done everything possible to get a match with Brock Lesnar.

Lashley recently stated that if Brock Lesnar comes back to WWE, he will need to work his way up to the WWE Championship picture:

"If Brock wants to be back in the picture, Brock is gonna have to work his way back up to the title shoot as there is a lot of people waiting at the front door: myself, Braun, The Miz, and several other people that want to have their shot at the title, so he is not the man. Of course, that fight, everybody would love to have some time in my career just because of the similarities between Brock and I. But at the end of the day, if Brock comes back, I welcome that challenge, but it is up to him."

Brock Lesnar wouldn't take words like these lightly, would want to make a statement at the expense of Lashley. The All-Mighty has been hyping up this match for a long time now, even before he returned to WWE. When Lashley won the WWE title by beating The Miz, Brock Lesnar's name began trending on Twitter, with fans wanting to see a match pitting the duo. Here's hoping Lashley, and the fans, get their wish come WrestleMania.

#1 An amazing opportunity to make a big star out of Bobby Lashley with a win over Brock Lesnar

Will WWE mimic last year's story?
Will WWE mimic last year's story?

Last year, Brock Lesnar's WWE Championship loss at WrestleMania 36 turned Drew McIntyre into a huge star. Lesnar had been built up as an unstoppable monster for a long time at that point, and him falling prey to McIntyre made for a great story for The Scottish Psychopath. McIntyre kept getting better with each passing month and had two dominant reigns as WWE Champion.

Now, WWE has the opportunity to repeat last year's story and turn Bobby Lashley into a big star at WrestleMania 37. If WWE gives the fans a Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar match at WrestleMania, with the former coming out victorious, it will turn him into the most dangerous entity on WWE TV.

Brock Lesnar is a part-timer, while Lashley is out there on WWE TV every single week. A big over Lesnar is bound to benefit both Lashley as well as WWE, as the company would get to capitalize on Lashley's win over Lesnar for the next few years.
