Drew McIntyre's reign as WWE Champion has to come to an end at some point, and Randy Orton would probably be the best person to lose to. Not only is that evident by how much heat Orton has right now, but also due to his status as a workhorse veteran.

If nothing else, Randy Orton has now seemingly taken over John Cena's role as the yardstick inWWE, which means that McIntyre would be heavily protected in defeat. Beyond that, it would open itself up to a series of rematches where McIntyre could get his momentum back at some point.

Again, McIntyre losing to Randy Orton would not hurt him at all, and could be a very good way to bookend his first title run. Sure, it might not be how fans want McIntyre's reign to end, especially after beating Brock Lesnar for the title, but the things this could set up far outweigh that minor aspect.
