Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch became all set for WrestleMania 35 set to take place in a few months’ time. This is the match everyone wanted and now that they have got it, WWE might be having some other plans with it.

In recent days, WWE have been exuding a vibe that implies Charlotte Flair’s involvement in the match. In fact, The Queen came out on SmackDown Live last Tuesday and mocked Becky Lynch while suggesting that she should be the one facing Rousey at WrestleMania.

While Triple H may have told Flair to get out of the ring as the situation doesn’t concern her, there is a looming feeling that there could be a Triple Threat match at WrestleMania that features Charlotte Flair alongside the aforementioned duo.

But WWE shouldn’t do that, Charlotte Flair should not be a part of this match and here are five reasons why…

#5 Flair’s had her run with Rousey

For starters, Charlotte Flair has had her match against Rousey at Survivor Series. While the match ended in disqualification for Flair, she did give Rousey a proper beating with a stick.

And that should have been the end of it. Flair was picked as a replacement for the injured Lynch and did her part was to fill in for The Man for a match.

#4 Lynch vs Rousey has a backstory

They have a history
They have a history

The rivalry between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey began ahead of the Survivor Series. At the time, Lynch was the SmackDown Live women’s champion and instigated a fierce rivalry against RAW Women’s champion Ronda Rousey.

The pinnacle of the rivalry was when Lynch invaded RAW and assaulted Rousey in the locker room. After that, she took the brawl to the ring, where Nia Jax punched The Man’s face and concussed her, which led to her dropping out the main match at Survivor series.

That match was supposed to be a showdown, the climax of the rivalry between these TWO women, but we never got to witness it. And now, that it is finally going to happen at WrestleMania, it doesn’t make any sense for a third person to come in.

#3 Enough limelight for Flair

The Queen has had her limelight
The Queen has had her limelight

It might feel like Charlotte Flair has been around forever, mainly due to the fact that her last name is Flair, but it should be noted that she was only promoted to the main roster of the WWE in 2015.

Just four years later, she is now a seven-time Women’s champion and no-one in the history of the company has more women’s titles than her. Trish Stratus is also a seven-time champion but it took her seven years to reach that figure.

In comparison, Flair reached that mark just after three years, which goes to show how much the WWE pushed her. Ever since the beginning of her career, she has been pushed by the company.

It would be safe to claim that no other superstar in the women’s roster got as many chances as Flair did. So she’s had her share of the light, it’s time for someone else to have it now.

#2 Unfair to Lynch

Like mentioned earlier, Charlotte Flair has been given a lot of pushes in her career. And it is not that she didn’t deserve it because, after all, she is a brilliant performer who has backed up the faith shown in her.

However, Becky Lynch’s road to the top was much harder than that of Flair. She joined the main roster at about the same time as Charlotte Flair but has only two titles to her name.

In fact, it wasn’t until the second half of 2018 that she gained mass recognition and it came after she turned heel by attacking Flair at SummerSlam. Once again, even in that match, it was supposed to be Becky Lynch against then-champion Carmella in a one-on-one match but Flair was later added after she beat the latter in a non-title match.

Following that, she took over The Man gimmick and whatever she has gone on to achieve since is due to her own work. So if WWE once again adds Charlotte in a match hyped up by the work of Lynch, it would be unfair to the Irishwoman.

#1 Looks forceful

WWE shouldn't force feed her to us
WWE shouldn't force feed her to us

Everything leads to this. The work that Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey did prior to Survivor Series has led to this match at WrestleMania. Becky’s injury was an unfortunate blip that stopped her from competing against the Baddest Woman on the Planet.

Even then, the storyline was beautifully carved out for Charlotte Flair to be her replacement. WWE made Lynch choose her replacement in the ring in front of the WWE Universe and she chose her ex-friend to do what “I would have done” to Rousey.

She even gave Charlotte a hug to instil the reasoning of her selection, choosing a former friend instead of a nobody. The Queen then went to Survivor Series and gave Rousey a nice beating.

So far, so good. Everything is poetic.

However, right now, WWE pushing the idea of having Flair in the match looks like a decision that they are trying to force feed the audience as it looks like they are trying to make a last minute alteration in a match planned a few months ago.
