John Cena is the perfect man to help introduce Fox viewers who might not be familiar with WWE programming to wrestling. Cena is a star with crossover appeal, and would help establish WWE’s footing on a new platform. After a title run, Cena could build up another Superstar and inevitably drop the championship. Such a move would only make another star in the process.

Nobody is saying that John Cena is on the same level as The Rock, but he definitely has a bigger fanbase now than he did before the acting. That’s why one more world title run would be of value to both parties.
