Imagine that! AEW got one of the greatest WWE wrestlers of all time to reveal the new AEW World Heavyweight Championship. This is literally barely a week after Mick Foley revealed the WWE 24/7 Championship, which was considered a disaster by fans on first impressions.
Was this deliberate? It's highly doubtful that AEW knew that WWE was presenting a 24/7 title in the same week, as it was rumored for a while that their world title would be showcased at the Double or Nothing PPV. But what was surprising was that Bret Hart would be the man to do the reveal.
Considering Bret Hart and Vince McMahon go back a long way and their WWE history, it was a shock to see the WWE legend in an AEW ring. It's probably safe to say that Vince McMahon was probably not happy seeing that.
