#2. To wave-off time before Seth Rollins challenges for the WWE Championship again

Will he hold the world title again?
Earlier in the year, Seth Rollins had already challenged for the WWE Championship on one occasion but he failed to capture the world title off Drew McIntyre at the WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view. However, it is safe to say that, over these past few months, Seth Rollins has upped his game to the next level and is a whole different beast now.

At SummerSlam, Rollins proved that he is willing to go deep waters with anyone on the big stage and is not willing to show mercy to any man who stands across him in a WWE ring. Even if that turns out to be the debuting Dominik Mysterio, whom he demolished at SummerSlam and that too right in front of his father Rey.
If WWE is to split Seth Rollins and Murphy at this stage, a feud between the two could kill-off some vital TV time before the former eventually challenges for the WWE Championship once again. It is almost expected of Rollins to be making his claim for the biggest title on the Red brand but The Monday Night Messiah might just prefer dealing with other things before he could shift his focus towards the WWE Title.
