After years of trying, Bryan finally got medically cleared by the WWE in 2018 and made his return to the squared circle at Wrestlemania in Tag Team competition when he partnered with Shane O'Mac to take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

While the fans' excitement was at an all-time high, things started spiraling downward for the bearded GOAT when he was placed in a lackluster feud with Big Cass.
However, a lengthy program with his arch-nemesis The Miz helped Bryan regain the lost momentum.

But the most interesting turn of 2018 perhaps took when Daniel Bryan turned heel during a WWE Championship match against AJ Styles on an episode of SmackDown, low-blowing Styles to pick up the victory.
Bryan has since completely re-invented himself, acting like a deranged lunatic and calling himself "The New" Daniel Bryan.
