#2 Allie/The Bunny (2020 record - 0-0; Career - 3-2)
Outside of Brandi Rhodes, who was never a full-time in-ring specialist anyways, the biggest female name that signed with AEW was Allie. The bubbly, fun-loving anchor of the Impact Knockouts' Division was a big scalp for the new promotion and she's someone that should have been pushed as a top face from the beginning.
I know that the company will push who they want to and who they think is right. I'm just saying that of all of the names on the women's roster that was initially presented to the public, Allie was the most well-known.
Riho is more known now and was a star in Japan. But not every Japanese promotion is available to the world via stream or TV. Allie was on Impact as the top woman or one of the top stars every week. The AEW World title was won by Chris Jericho because he's a well-known star and huge name in the business. While not as a big a star as Le Champion, Allie would have at least given casual viewers a familiar face atop the new women's division.
They could have even booked her to win the title and then lose it to Riho. That could have easily been used to explain her heel turn alongside the Butcher and the Blade. Instead, they merely showed up to attack Cody. It was later explained that they want to ruin his (Cody') creation, but at the behest of MJF.
This year, Allie has been a valet for the Butcher and the Blade. AEW's website has her without a match so far this year but with a career record of 3-2. I'm just an analyst, but pushing a more well-known star initially would have done a better job for the ladies' division. Maybe she's hurt or maybe she's helping get her team over but the Bunny/Allie deserves a push up the card. Riho is adorable but her ability to constantly find a way to win over women sometimes twice her size will lose it's allure.
