Jeff Jarrett's WWE Hall of Fame induction announcement in 2018 was a major surprise for many fans. He departed the company in controversial circumstances in 1999.

Plus, Jarrett is undoubtedly one of the most prominent figures in the history of TNA, now known as IMPACT Wrestling. In 2002, Jarrett and his father founded the promotion. A six-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Jarrett had a highly successful career as an on-screen talent in TNA before he left the compny in 2013.

He returned to TNA in 2015, and was inducted into the promotion's Hall of Fame. Just three years later, Jarrett received his second Hall of Fame induction.

In 2018, Jeff Jarrett made his return to WWE, and he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. During an interview with Sporting News, Jeff Jarrett revealed that at one point in time, he thought he'd never be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

"2001, WCW was acquired. 2002 we launched TNA. I looked at specifically this situation but, you know, the WWE in general, they went one way and I went the other way. We just took different paths. Obviously, both stayed in the professional wrestling industry, sports entertainment, whatever you want to call it, but we both went down a different path and we weren't doing business together. No, I never dreamed it would happen at all. But, just like WWE says, never say never."

After Jeff Jarrett returned to WWE in 2018, he wrestled in a couple of matches for the promotion. Currently, he is signed to WWE as a backstage producer.
