At Great American Bash 2007, John Cena put his WWE Championship on the line against Bobby Lashley. Back then, Lashley was a different beast.

In his first few years with WWE, he had captured the United States and the ECW Championship. He'd picked up major victories against the likes of Umaga, Booker T, and Randy Orton on his way to a WWE Championship match with the Cenation leader.

WWE has no plans for these former AEW wrestlers? Here's why!

However, this was prime Super Cena time, and though Lashley put on a good fight, he was no match for John Cena. It's a far cry from the Bobby Lashley we know now 14 years later. The All Mighty WWE Champion is one of the most dominant superstars in the company, and is on the run of his life at the moment. If Cena comes back this year, why not put him up against Lashley and give him his win back?

#1 John Cena has to face The Tribal Chief

We saw this match at No Mercy 2017, but it just didn't have the big match feel it needed to. Part of the reason was that fans still weren't on board with Roman Reigns at this point. They weren't cheering him, and the only reason they booed him was that they didn't really care about him. With The Tribal Chief, it's a totally different story.

Roman Reigns is on the greatest run of his career right now. The Head of the Table is arguably the best character, not just in WWE, but in professional wrestling. He's beaten a handful of fan favorites and belittled everyone that's crossed his path, finally giving fans a real reason to hate him, and they do hate him. He destroyed Kevin Owens, removed Daniel Bryan from Smackdown, and ran through the likes of Edge and Cesaro in his Universal Title run.

Looks like Reigns needs another mega star to take him down. It looks like he needs to face John Cena.

The 16-time World Champion had a major edge on Reigns the last time they met in that he could talk circles around him on the mic. Though Reigns beat him, nobody really remembers the outcome of the match. They do remember, though, Cena telling him that he hasn't retired yet because Reigns wasn't ready to take over.

This Roman Reigns would have a bone to pick with John Cena, and it would lead to a much better confrontation than we saw four years ago.
