5 Superstars who have remained on the same brand since the 2016 WWE Draft

Only a handful have remained on one show.
Only a handful have remained on one show.

Ever since the brand split returned in 2016, RAW and SmackDown have had their separate rosters. The initial Superstars on each brand were decided through the WWE Draft. Since then, there have been three post-WrestleMania Superstar Shakeups.

Various Superstars moved from RAW and SmackDown, with some going back and forth over the years, but there have been a few who did not alter their weekly television homes even once. Among the initial draftees in 2016, only a select few have been stuck to a single brand.

Of course, this could all change and some of these Superstars could move over during the upcoming WWE Draft, but as of present time, they have remained loyal to one show, even if the infamous Wildcard Rule threatened to ruin everything.

There may be more, but here are five WWE Superstars who have remained on the same brand since the return of the brand split in 2016.

Note: Only Superstars who were drafted in July 2016 are applicable.

#5 Carmella (SmackDown)

She really has held her own.
She really has held her own.

Carmella was actually the final pick of the WWE Draft in 2016, coming up from NXT. She made her debut on the Blue Brand as a babyface, but received little crowd reaction. Fortunately, WWE turned Carmella heel shortly thereafter and she continually progressed as a performer. Her partnership with James Ellsworth was entertaining at times, even leading to a victory in the first (and second) ever Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

'Mella held the briefcase for close to ten months, before cashing in on Charlotte Flair to win the SmackDown Women's Championship. The ensuing reign may not have been one of the greatest in history, but it was a testament to the improvement that Carmella had shown since getting drafted to the Blue Brand in 2016.

More recently, she has been teaming with R-Truth and they have gone on a fabulously entertaining run together. The pair are now the heart of WWE's main source of comedy, the 24/7 Championship picture. Carmella, along with R-Truth, run around from show to show, but it must not be forgotten that she is actually still officially part of SmackDown's roster.

#4 Braun Strowman (RAW)

Braun is RAW.
Braun is RAW.

When Braun Strowman was separated from his Wyatt Family brethren, Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan, fans were fearful of another green big man getting over-pushed on Monday Night RAW. Oh, how they were wrong.

Strowman enjoyed a steady rise toward the top of the card, spending nine months between destroying jobbers and flipping ambulances. 'The Monster Among Men' became one of the most over Superstars in the entire company, thanks in no small part to his incredible blood feud with Roman Reigns.

He may not have had much success recently, but Strowman was consistently one of the most entertaining figures on RAW. He has not done much ever since the Universal Championship debacle last year with Reigns and Brock Lesnar, but remains one of the biggest in-house attractions WWE has to offer. The progress Strowman has shown during his time on the Red Brand has been nothing short of spectacular, especially considering how much fans hated him when he first showed up on their television screens as part of The Wyatt Family.

It is a real shame that Braun Strowman has not yet won the Universal Championship, especially considering just how much he has contributed to RAW in the past couple of years.

#3 Sasha Banks (RAW)

Her status on RAW could be in question.
Her status on RAW could be in question.

Sasha Banks is the most recognizable female not to have switched brands at least once since the WWE Draft. She was the second highest woman to be selected, at number 13, and even won the RAW Women's Championship from Charlotte Flair on the first episode post-draft. However, the 'Legit Boss' has never successfully defended the title during the four reigns she has had since. Her rivalry with 'The Queen' featured constant title changes, but was revolutionary in many ways. It still holds up as one of the greatest women's feuds in WWE history.

Almost everything that Sasha has done since has not come close to the levels she reached with Charlotte in 2016, until she recently returned from a hiatus and turned heel. The 4-time Women's Champion had one hell of a program with Becky Lynch, culminating in a fantastic Hell in a Cell match where 'The Man' retained her RAW Women's Championship.

We do not know what the future holds for Sasha Banks. After a barn-burner of a rivalry, 'The Boss' seems to be in limbo and it looks likely that her time on the Red Brand could soon be coming to an end.

#2 Randy Orton (SmackDown)

The Viper doesn't do Mondays.
The Viper doesn't do Mondays.

In preparation for a blockbuster SummerSlam match between Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton, the pair were picked by different brands during the 2016 Draft. Orton headed over to SmackDown to lend the newly live show some much needed star power. After getting his head caved in by Lesnar, 'The Viper' took part in some pretty interesting storylines on the Blue Brand. The biggest was when he decided to join The Wyatt Family. It was incredible and fresh, especially with Orton in his preferred heel role.

He has won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, the WWE Championship, and the United States Championship during his time on the Blue Brand. Orton has not always shown enthusiasm in what he is doing, but even a half-motivated 'Viper' is one of the greatest of all time. He has done it all on SmackDown LIVE, including losing the WWE Title to Jinder Mahal and twisting Jeff Hardy's ear with a screwdriver.

It will remain to be seen whether Randy Orton will be drafted over to RAW, but one thing is for certain. Whichever show secures 'The Viper,' will ultimately benefit from the veteran's presence, as long as they book him in actual interesting storylines.

#1 Seth Rollins (RAW)

The number one pick.
The number one pick.

After his controversial Hell in a Cell match with The Fiend, Seth Rollins is currently the most hated wrestler in the world, but back in mid-2016, he was adored. Rollins returned to WWE after a nasty knee injury and fans were completely behind him, but he remained a heel. It was frustrating, but that did not stop WWE from marketing him as one of the top Superstars in the entire company. With Roman Reigns suspended for the WWE Draft, Rollins was the clear number one pick for Monday Night RAW. Since then, he has made RAW his own show.

Rollins has done absolutely everything on the Red brand. He lost the first two Universal Title matches, getting betrayed by Triple H in the second one, before slaying 'The King' at WrestleMania. Rollins won the RAW Tag Team Championships multiple times in different scenarios, became a fighting Intercontinental Champion, and re-united The Shield on a couple of occasions. This year, Rollins took things a step further and seemingly became the face of the WWE. He defeated Brock Lesnar twice and is now the Universal Champion.

'The Beastslayer' will probably remain on RAW through this week's WWE Draft and is currently being booked like a number one draft pick, even if he has suffered some damaging effects recently.
