5 Superstars who may never be signed by WWE

Regardless of what some fans may think of their content, the WWE is by far the biggest wrestling company ever.

Being bought by Vincent K McMahon from his father Vince Sr., the then-WWF has grown from being just one of several territorial promotions in the New York territory to the biggest in the U.S and subsequently the world.

Over the years, the WWE have hosted thousands of Superstars, each of whom have added to the company's rich lineage in one way or another.

But there are some who have never, or have and will never again, work with WWE, and here are five wrestlers who have been banned from competing in the WWE.

Note: Whilst nothing is ever certain, and there is a slim possibility that these stars do find a way into the company, we're looking at those who for one reason or another, probably aren't joining.

#5 New Jack

One of the most iconic stars of the original ECW, some have wondered why neither WWE nor WCW signed New Jack.

It doesn't take a lot of research though to figure out why, as New Jack is one of wrestling's most controversial stars.

Known for having legitimately threatened several stars, and allegedly attacked several more, the former ECW Tag Team Champion ironically clearly doesn't play well with others.

The worst of all of these offenses was the Mass Transit Incident, where New Jac brutalised a young wrestler without training, before cutting a vile racist promo against him.

Now far past his prime and clearly too volatile for the company's family-friendly image, it's safe to say WWE will never sign New Jack to any kind of contract.

#4 Alberto Del Rio

A former WWE Champion, Royal Rumble winner and Money in the Bank winner, Alberto Del Rio was a bonafide star in WWE.

But despite this success, Del Rio has burned his bridges with the company, being very outspoken against the company after his second release in 2016.

As if being released from the biggest company twice, and bad mouthing them in public isn't bad enough, Del Rio specifically targetted Triple H, who will be inheriting the company soon, calling him "the one with the big nose."

Now at 41-years-old, one has to wonder how many years Del Rio has left in him, and what his next move will be.

Whatever happens, after his controversy with WWE, as well as similar antics with Impact, don't expect the third time to be the charm for the Mexican aristocrat.

#3 Konnan

Fans of WCW may remember Konnan for his time as a member of the nWo, and fans of Impact Wrestling may remember him from being the manager of LAX.

But what fans won't remember is his brief stint in the WWE, where he was the original pick to play the spaceman of the company, Max Moon.

Decked in a neon-blue monstrosity of an outfit, Konnan quickly left the company, instead returning to Mexico, where he admitted he thought his prospects would be better.

This reportedly left the WWF furious, and all these years later, it's clear that the now-WWE want nothing to do with Konnan.

With the rumor being that the WWE have often avoided signing Luchadors just for having an association with Konnan, it's clear the former WCW US Champion won't be joining the WWE.

#2 Buff Bagwell

The WWE have often said how WCW didn't create any original stars, and whilst the now-defunct company did often rely on former WWF talent, one star they certainly created for themselves was Buff Bagwell.

Originally a clean-cut babyface, Bagwell later became a cocky heel and could have been a big star when WCW was bought by the WWF in 2001.

In his only WWF televised match though, Bagwell had an awful match with Booker T, a match so bad it reportedly killed off any belief the WWF had in WCW being its own brand.

Bagwell's mother, (who somehow is a former WCW Tag Team Champion) reportedly called in sick for her son when he was unable to make a live event, and whilst Buff has denied this claim, being such a mama's boy has been frowned upon by WWE.

#1 David Benoit

David Benoit may become one of wrestling's greatest stars, but he will forever be overshadowed by the horrific actions of his father Chris Benoit.

Killing his wife Nancy and son Daniel, before committing suicide, the elder Benoit forever stained the WWE, and wrestling as a whole in 2007, despite what HAD been considered a Hall of Fame-worthy career.

Even if David was to change his name, the horrific acts of his father would be present in the mind of fans, and would make for some uncomfortable viewing.

It does seem harsh that David is effectively being punished for his father's crimes, but that is sadly the way things are.

Despite his father, David has remained close with some wrestlers, recently appearing in a selfie with WWE Superstar and former SmackDown Women's Champion, Natalya.
