#4 One final World title reign for WWE Hall of Famer Edge
Edge's return to WWE at last year's Royal Rumble match was arguably one of the best and most shocking returns of all time. Edge, unfortunately, had to retire in 2011 due to his medical condition. Moreover, he retired as the World Champion and he surely deserves to have one final World title reign before he hangs his boots.
If Edge wins the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 37 by defeating Roman Reigns, it would likely be his final World title reign and one that he would want to make memorable for himself and the fans.
In the last few weeks, Edge has interacted with several Superstars on RAW, SmackDown, and NXT including the likes of Daniel Bryan, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, and many others. We might see Edge feuding with some of these Superstars if he wins the Universal Championship.
#3 A possible fan outrage
Edge is a massive fan-favorite, there's no doubt about that. However, there will surely be a section of fans who won't be happy with WWE choosing him as the one to end Roman Reigns' reign of terror (no pun intended). The reason being simply that Edge is after all a part-timer and doesn't really need any more accomplishments in his Hall of Fame career.
We saw a glimpse of this fan outrage when Edge won the 2021 men's Royal Rumble match. While fans were happy to see him return and compete in the match, there was a section that wasn't happy with him winning the match, possibly taking the spotlight from a young Superstar.
Roman Reigns is the biggest thing in WWE at the moment, and whoever finally dethrones him will be the new hottest thing. The question is, should WWE use this to build a new Superstar instead of letting an already established veteran like Edge get the honors?
