During the TakeOver: In Your House pay-per-view, a commercial aired for the next NXT event, the Great American Bash. The Bash won't be a stand-alone TakeOver event but rather an episode of NXT on Tuesday, July 6.

At last year's Great American Bash, Io Shirai defeated Sasha Banks while Keith Lee won a Winner Takes All match against Adam Cole. By winning, Lee became both the NXT and NXT North American Champion. He vacated the NA title soon after defeating Cole.

Lee then dropped the NXT title to Karrion Kross at TakeOver: XXX in August. During their match, however, Kross was injured and was forced to vacate the title. It took some time but Kross returned to NXT earlier this year and reclaimed the title he never lost.

TakeOver: In Your House featured an action-packed card, but there weren't any title changes. Gonzalez, Kross and MSK won their titles at Stand & Deliver in April. Bronson Reed won the NA title in May while Kushida defeated Santos Escobar for the NXT Cruiserweight title in April.

With so many titles changing hands recently, it didn't seem likely that fans would see any new champions walk out of TakeOver: In Your House. Every title that was on the line was defended successfully.

Since every championship was safe after TakeOver: In Your House, the same may not be the case at the Great American Bash. Another month will have passed, giving those winning titles at Stand & Deliver a three-month reign. While those reigns are still relatively short, NXT management could pull the trigger on title swaps.

Kross defeated four of the best stars in NXT history and may relinquish the title before being promoted to RAW or SmackDown. The 2021 WWE Draft will take place after SummerSlam, so Kross could feasibly move up after SummerSlam.

Gonzalez and Kross may hold their titles for a long time, but if the main roster comes calling, things can change. MSK might see their reign end with a tag division full of hungry teams.
