#3 Karrion Kross rips through Santos Escobar on WWE NXT

WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar was scheduled to face Karrion Kross in a match last week. Fans were looking forward to the match, but Escobar decided to avoid facing the former NXT Champion.

Escobar sent a video message to the NXT Universe, and General Manager William Regal was unhappy with the Cruiserweight Champion’s antics. Regal announced that the match between the two Superstars would take place this week, and if Escobar no-showed again, he would be stripped of his title and suspended.

This week on NXT, Escobar must walk into the match reluctantly and avoid getting physical with The Herald of Doomsday. WWE must then allow Kross to toss around Escobar with ease, and take him down with a few vicious strikes, before locking him in the Kross Jacket.

The angle will help Kross come across as a top Superstar who can destroy even a top Champion of WWE. Kross needs to be built as a force, and squash matches against enhancement talent were not helping the former NXT Champion. The angle will also make Escobar seem vulnerable and make his title easier to target for future opponents on NXT.
