The current version of Nikki Cross is not the version that we're used to from her NXT days. Back then, she was a deranged lunatic, and now, while she shows signs of being unhinged, she's just a coffee addict, most weeks. One had assumed that she would be pushed all the way to the top when she became No.1 contender not long ago.
But quite rightfully, WWE has chosen to keep the title on heel Bayley. Bayley is someone whom they're invested in, especially after her makeover and her recent foray into the dark. With Sasha Banks by her side, Bayley is the hottest thing in the women's division not named Becky Lynch.
As for Nikki Cross, I think it'll be interesting to see what happens when Alexa Bliss returns. Will the two women team up or fight one another in the coming weeks and months, I wonder?
