5 things the WWE Universe wants from WWE

The WWE Universe is the Authority now!
The WWE Universe is the Authority now!

WWE ushered in a series of changes this week on Monday Night RAW, with the whole McMahon family taking charge of weekly WWE programming. Shane McMahon, Stephanie and her husband Triple H, along with Mr.McMahon, will take over RAW and Smackdown Live moving forward.

The first show of the new era featured some interesting changes with a slew of callups announced, the Revival finally winning a match and the imminent returns of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens teased.

All these changes signal a postiive direction for the WWE programming, and the new "The Authority" has announced that the fans are in charge of the shows from now on. Fans are the real "Authority" and they will make the decisions.

Although this statement is hyperbolic at best, the fans do want a few things and WWE must oblige and listen to the fans.

#5: Revitalize Bayley

Bayley can become and should become the John Cena of Women's Division
Bayley can become and should become the John Cena of Women's Division

Bayley is one of the most talented women in the company today. Bayley and Sasha Banks produced one of the greatest women rivalries in WWE history back in NXT, leading to a Iron Man match at Takeover.

Bayley is a former NXT Women's Champion, former RAW Women's Champion and is still one of the most beloved superstars among the WWE Universe. Ever since she had a feud with Alexa Bliss back in April 2017, she has been stuck in limbo.

Bayley has never reached the heights of her NXT run and is currently wasted on the RAW roster. Her gimmick was never the most intriguing one, but she had great potential which was not utilized properly.

Bayley was believed to be the female John Cena and she could have been for the Women's Division what Cena was to the Men's.

#4: Push the underutilized superstars

We need superstars like Rusev in the main event more often
We need superstars like Rusev in the main event more often

The WWE roster has more talent than ever currently. Superstars like Samoa Joe, Andrade Almas, Rusev, Sasha Banks, Sanity did not even feature in the TLC pay-per-view. Several superstars do not even get a chance to feature on weekly programming due to the talent overload.

However, five hours worth of television is more than enough to have all your prime superstars feature in some form or another. WWE needs to make use of such talent available at its disposal, rather than featuring Baron Corbin and Nia Jax in every second segment.

Fans have begged for a mega push for Rusev, whose natural charisma, wrestling skills and a dashing personality scream "main-event run." Andrade Almas is another talent who has struggled to find proper time on the main-roster. He produced a five star match against Johnny Gargano in January, which was WWE's first five-star encounter in over seven years!

#3: Quality over Quantity

WWE needs to produce PPVs like NXT Takeover on the main roster
WWE needs to produce PPVs like NXT Takeover on the main roster

WWE's obsession with long PPVs is not a good thing for anybody. WWE desperately needs to take a page out of NXT's playbook and have shorter PPVs, filled with quality matches which get the WWE Universe talking.

WWE Evolution was one of the best produced PPVs of 2018 simply because it was shorter and had a NXT-like feel to it. NXT has consistently produced fantastic Takeover events, which should be the gold standard in wrestling.

Five hours of PPV followed by five hours of RAW and Smackdown Live is too much for even a die hard wrestling fan, and WWE needs to cut down on these.

A move back to brand exclusive PPVs, with the occasional joint PPVs will be the right move for WWE, and they need to adopt the same formula once again.

WWE needs to adopt the formula they had during the Ruthless Aggression Era and cut down on PPVs.

#2: Move back to PG 14

If WWE wants to have the Attitude Era back, then it must move back to PG 14
If WWE wants to have the Attitude Era back, then it must move back to PG 14

One of the biggest reasons behind WWE's success during the Atttitude Era was the trash talking Rock. The Rock couldn't be the same in the PG Era of WWE. A lot of disses will have to be dialed down for the family audiences.

WWE was known to be the edgy content that young adults and the working class loved. In the last ten years or so, fans have lost interest due to WWE's changed direction. The move towards making it a more kid friendly show led to several fans losing interest.

The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, DX,etc. were gimmicks which were highly successful due to their brash nature. They captivated audiences worldwide and became household names. At that time, WWE WAS the pop culture, as opposed to today.

WWE's failure to create main-event superstars boils down to scripted promos and repetitive stuff. Get rid of it and see the shows prosper.

#1: No Part Timers

Part-timers shouldn't be headlining your PPVs
Part-timers shouldn't be headlining your PPVs

Every WrestleMania main event in the last seven years has featured a part-timer. 2011 was the last time when two full-time superstars featured in the main-event of Wrestlemania. The Miz and John Cena competed for the WWE Championship, and ever since then, a part-timer has headlined Wrestlemania.

Although the fans will mark out for a part-timer like Triple H, these part timers are not the future of the company. In ten years, when superstars like Triple H, Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, etc. will not be around, who will main event?

WWE's inability to create superstars has created such problems and WWE need to rectify it as soon as possible. The WWE Universe wants to see superstars like Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, etc. main event the Biggest Show of Them All, not Brock Lesnar.

If WWE is listening to the fans, then we shall have a proper main-event at Wrestlemania 35!
