5 Big Things Vince McMahon Could Be Planning For Dean Ambrose's Shocking Return

Is Ambrose coming back?
Is Ambrose coming back?

Amidst all the speculations that have been doing the rounds, Dean Ambrose's ongoing contractual situation has become a major headliner for all the wrestling debates on social media.

The former WWE Champion was all set to leave Vince McMahon's billion dollar company and whilst the creative team has done everything in their power to convince us that Ambrose is gone, there are reports linking him with a blockbuster return in the latter stages of 2019.

It's undeniable that The Lunatic Fringe is one of the hardest working guys on the main roster and deserves a lot more than he gets from the management.

The 33-year old WWE Superstar has openly stated his adulation for Vince McMahon as well as the latter's love for him. Dean has also admitted once on the Stone Cold Podcast that he was Mr. McMahon's favorite wrestler.

Although it's understandable why Ambrose would be unhappy with his creative direction on the main roster, but latest reports from Slice Wrestling suggests that the self-proclaimed 'Moral Compass' of the WWE could indeed return in six months.

Taking some time away from WWE could make things really better for Ambrose considering how poorly he was booked when he returned to the squared circle in the summer of 2018.

So, after receiving an astounding farewell after Monday Night Raw went off the air from the WWE Universe as well as Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, is this all real or is it part of a major plan?

Let's dive deep here. Enjoy this one.

#1 Entering the Royal Rumble at No 30 and eliminating Roman Reigns to win the match

Is Ambrose shocking us at the Royal Rumble?
Is Ambrose shocking us at the Royal Rumble?

If Dean Ambrose is indeed returning to the squared circle in the next six months, then we could definitely see him shock the world at the Royal Rumble.

The event has legitimately lost an element of surprise and Dean's astonishing return to the squared circle could literally shake things up heading into WrestleMania 36.

Considering that he came so close to winning it in 2016, The Lunatic Fringe has the experience to fight till the very end and eventually, winning it all.

Eliminating Roman Reigns by entering at the very last spot could be successful in igniting a rivalry for the ages whilst keeping the 33-year old Superstar as the main antagonist.

#2 Telling an interesting underdog story against Brock Lesnar

This needs to happen
This needs to happen

Remember the only time Dean Ambrose locked horns against Brock Lesnar in a singles match and delivered one of the most disappointing WrestleMania matches of all time?

Well, it may not have been that disappointing but the anticipation surrounding the showdown made it so compelling that the two performers couldn't do justice to what could have been a story for the ages.

The Lunatic Fringe has openly admitted that Brock Lesnar wasn't too interested in telling a compelling story between the ropes which eventually led to the match falling flat.

However, if Ambrose is indeed returning back, tussling it out with The Beast Incarnate could be a match that could entice him as well as the entire WWE Universe.

Analyzing how Kofi Kingston and Becky Lynch have ascended to become the top-tier babyfaces in the entire industry, something of a similar stature can be done with Ambrose here.

Returning as a big babyface, defying the odds to win the Royal Rumble match, and finally seeking redemption from a monstrous heel in Brock Lesnar would be the perfect story heading into WrestleMania 36.

#3 Forming Shield 2.0 with some promising NXT Superstars

Dean can make this work
Dean can make this work

A genuine reason why Dean Ambrose was unhappy with his heel run more likely depended on the way he was booked by the WWE creative.

The Lunatic Fringe has justified his prowess as a menacing heel on the independent circuits before he shined as the leading member of The Shield on a weekly basis.

Considering that he never got the due that he deserved, returning back with a Shield of his own could be compelling in shaping the rest of the WrestleMania season in 2020.

His relationship with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns is indeed very historic as well as emotional and could work very well if the former WWE Champion returns with a menacing faction of his own.

This could also be a legitimate way to bring someone from NXT like CM Punk wanted back in 2012 and form an unstoppable faction with Dean Ambrose as the man in-charge.

I definitely believe Dean's work as a heel in the WWE deserved some more time. If he was provided with the right creative direction, he would have ran riot on Monday Night Raw.

A faction like The Forgotten Sons could match very well with Dean Ambrose and could go on to deliver some classics with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.

#4 The main event of WrestleMania 36 featuring The Shield fighting for The Universal Championship

This is the real main event
This is the real main event

The time The Shield debuted on the main roster and was quickly propelled to the very top of the industry, legions in the WWE Universe saw a WrestleMania main-event written all over the faction.

Considering that they have only locked horns once under Vince McMahon's wing, the idea of closing WrestleMania 36 in what could be a match for the ages may work in enticing Dean Ambrose.

Taking a sabbatical and returning back for a blockbuster program with The Hounds of Justice would be successful in bringing the right eyeballs on The Lunatic Fringe.

Furthermore, this is the only match that deserves to close next year's visual extravaganza. The history here is so significant. This would be the right match for the company bring all these three guys in the main event whilst keeping Roman Reigns as the central focus of the bout.

#5 Going the CM Punk route and igniting a feud between Ambrose and Vince McMahon

Vince can help Ambrose become a legitimate superstar
Vince can help Ambrose become a legitimate superstar

Remember the time when CM Punk was about to leave WWE in 2011 and Vince McMahon had no other option but to test him as a legitimate superstar?

A similar situation could transpire here with Dean Ambrose. The guy possesses all the credentials that could make him a genuine main-event performer on the main roster.

Whilst he is certainly looked upon as a transitional champion, igniting a feud between The Lunatic Fringe and the establishment could prove to be a thing of beauty.

The former WWE Champion has always welcomed the idea of bringing some rejuvenation to our screens and if the company goes the CM Punk route here, we could see a more riveting side to Dean Ambrose.

He can definitely be the anti-hero that fights the establishment and an angle where Vince discusses a new contract with him could very well be entertaining and refreshing.
