#3. A possible dream match for WWE Clash of Champion starts taking shape on SmackDown

Sami Zayn made his way to the SmackDown ring this week and didn't appreciate that the ring announcer didn't introduce him as the Intercontinental Champion. Zayn was the Intercontinental Champion before the pandemic forced him to take some time off. The tournament and matches that followed allowed WWE to crown a new Intercontinental Champion on SmackDown.

The current Intercontinental Champion, Jeff Hardy, made his way out to interrupt "The Critic of Critics" and former Intercontinental Champion, AJ Styles, followed.

All three men had a war of words. Afterward, a brawl ensued and Zayn managed to stay on top at the end of the segment after delivering a big Helluva Kick.

While the segment wasn’t great, the events allowed the fans to prepare for a great Triple Threat Match that could take place as early as WWE Clash of Champions. Although two men are holding the Intercontinental Championships, Styles believes that he’s still in the race to win back the title. WWE could book a Triple Threat match to crown one single champion at the next pay-per-view event.

All three men are great at what they do in the ring, and their varied style could contribute a show-stopping match in a couple of weeks.
