#4 Asuka's green mist has been teased for a while

That green mist!
That green mist!

The finish of the Women's Tag Team match saw Asuka spit green mist on Nikki Cross' face, allowing her to get the pin and the championship for her team The Kabuki Warriors. It was a tribute to Japanese legend The Great Muta and former WWE superstar Tajiri.

Many wondered why she used it and it has been pointed out that it's something Asuka has teased for a long time. Remember those incredible Noh masks she wears to the ring? She has worn many variations of those.

One particular design has green mist seeping through the eyes and mouth. Take a look below:

It's a great piece of storytelling and in all likeliness, it was Asuka's idea herself. While there will be a reaction by some stating WWE "made her do it", it's very unlikely that it was anything but voluntary on her part.

It fits perfectly into her character and it's a nice subtle touch. Also, we like the fact that they have shaken up the Women's Tag Team division again. This may also mean that Asuka won't be headed back to NXT as rumored.
