Vince McMahon has fired loads of WWE Superstars on TV, with the manner in which he did so becoming his signature catchphrase. All of them were merely in storyline, but one time he actually fired someone on-air. On the first WWE RAW after the company purchased WCW, the chairman personally fired Jeff Jarrett when he addressed what he would do with the brand he just bought.

McMahon mocked Jarrett's way of speaking and said that he was Capital G, Double O, Double N, Double E. Gone. This development came nearly two years after the WWE Hall of Famer "held McMahon up" for a large sum of money to drop the WWE Intercontinental Championship a day after his contract expired.

It is fair to say that McMahon not take kindly to being forced to pay around $300,000 for Jarrett to drop the IC Title to Chyna at WWE No Mercy 1999.L-- Regardless, it's not exactly nice for your firing to happen on live TV, especially in the brutal way McMahon did it.

The two parties have since mended bridges, with Jarrett entering the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018 and returning in the 2019 Men's Royal Rumble Match. He is now a backstage producer with the company
