In just a few hours, the WWE will host the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, as the roster of team RAW face the fallout of an incredible Royal Rumble pay per view.

Last night's event was a huge show, with RAW's Seth Rollins emerging victorious in the Men's Royal Rumble, last eliminating Braun Strowman to win.

But with the iconic pay per view now in the rear-view mirror, the road to WrestleMania 35 continues tonight, as the company prepares for the Elimination Chamber pay per view, one of the most barbaric pay per views in WWE history.

But before that, the Raw roster will need to survive tonight.

Here are five things you need to know before the January 28th, 2019 edition of WWE Monday Night RAW.

#5 Beast triumphant, Balor believed

Balor punished Lesnar but was unable to regain the Universal title.
Balor punished Lesnar but was unable to regain the Universal title.

When Finn Balor was announced as the opponent of Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble, very few people gave the Irishman a chance.

But Balor certainly made a believer out of many people last night. Though he did not capture the Universal Championship, he certainly took it to the Beast Incarnate.

Toppling Lesnar with three dives to the outside and a devastating Coup de Grace, Lesnar was only able to retain by the skin of his teeth, thanks to the Kimura Lock.

With Balor coming up short, the question remains what will the former NXT Champion do next, as he continues to regain the title he held for one day in 2016.

And with his schedule, Lesnar seemingly has a guaranteed path to WrestleMania where he will hope to continue to be WWE's most dominant champion.

He may already have his opponent confirmed, but for now, only time will tell.

#2 Rousey's road to WrestleMania

Rousey retained her title against former RAW Women's Champion Sasha Banks.
Rousey retained her title against former RAW Women's Champion Sasha Banks.

A lot can happen in a year, and fewer people know that more than 'Rowdy' Ronda Rousey.

Debuting at the Royal Rumble last year, Rousey has had a phenomenal first year in WWE, impressing in her WrestleMania 34 debut match, capturing the RAW Women's Championship at Summerslam 2018, and remaining undefeated.

Last night, the UFC Hall of Famer continued her winning ways, defeating Sasha Banks in impressive fashion.

With Rousey retaining her spot on top of the RAW Women's Division, fans have begun to speculate about whether the time has come for her to face 2019 Women's Royal Rumble winner Becky Lynch.

The dream match has been rumored to be taking place at WrestleMania (possibly in the main event) for months now, and the WWE could certainly start building to it tonight on RAW.

#3 What's next for the next generation of Superstars?

The new NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano made his presence felt during the men's Royal Rumble match.
The new NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano made his presence felt during the men's Royal Rumble match.

For only the second time ever, last night saw two Royal Rumble matches on the very same night, with 60 of WWE's very best facing off.

It seemed everyone wanted a shot to be a part of WrestleMania 35, including Hall of Famers such as Jeff Jarrett, legends such as Randy Orton, and even the next generation of Superstars from NXT.

From Johnny Gargano to Aleister Black, Lacey Evans to Kairi Sane, the developmental brand certainly made their presence known throughout the night.

And with six NXT Superstars recently graduating to the main roster, it will be interesting to see who sends shockwaves in the locker-room tonight, as we wait for the in-ring debut of the likes of EC3 as well as Heavy Machinery.

#2 The road to the Women's Tag Team Championships

Which team will become the Women's Tag Team Champions at Elimination Chamber?
Which team will become the Women's Tag Team Champions at Elimination Chamber?

With the Royal Rumble now behind us, the WWE Universe now looks forward to the Elimination Chamber pay per view, which is already announced to be a historic show.

After all, at the pay per view in less than three weeks, the company will crown new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, with three teams from RAW and three teams from SmackDown Live competing.

Whilst the chance to become Women's Tag Team Champions is a huge opportunity, these six teams will have to go through hell to capture them, in the second-ever Women's Elimination Chamber match.

With the Chamber drawing ever near, the WWE will have to begin announcing teams soon, and we could very well see at least one of the three teams representing the red brand be announced tonight.

#1 The Architect returns triumphantly

Seth Rollins joined an elite list of Superstars who have won the Royal Rumble match.
Seth Rollins joined an elite list of Superstars who have won the Royal Rumble match.

The 2019 Royal Rumble was a huge show full of shocks and surprises, but at the end of the day, it was Seth Rollins who stood tall as the 2019 Royal Rumble winner.

Entering #10, Rollins outlasted 29 other Superstars to win the historic match and now has a guaranteed championship match at WrestleMania 35.

The question now, is who will the inaugural NXT Champion face at the Showcase of the Immortals.

Rollins could jump ship to SmackDown Live, and challenge the new Daniel Bryan, who retained his title last night against AJ Styles. Or will he face Universal Champion Brock Lesnar for the title at WrestleMania, after weeks of being the Superstar most vocal against the Beast Incarnate's sporadic appearances?

Whatever happens, expect the Kingslayer to be in a very good mood tonight.
