Summer Rae hasn't been seen on WWE TV now for more than a year, as the former Total Divas was last seen by the WWE Universe back at WrestleMania 32 when she was part of the 10-Diva tag match on the preshow.

Summer came through the ranks in WWE though NXT before she was called up to the main roster to partner Fandango. She later branched out into singles wrestling when she was added to the cast of Total Divas, but she was pushed onto the sidelines through injury and hasn't been part of WWE's plans for almost two years.

Summer recently hinted that she could be set to return to the company in the near future and if her Instagram page is anything to go by, then she definitely looks as though she is ready.

#5 Summer is a movie star

Despite never being used to her full potential in WWE, Summer was able to become the first ever female wrestler to be cast in a WWE Studios film back in 2015. Summer was added to the cast of direct-to-DVD movie The Marine 4: Moving Target which also stars The Miz.

Summer doesn't say a word throughout the movie but does play a huge part in the action sequences until she is killed off, she proves that acting could be an option for her moving forward if a return to WWE was off the table.

Summer hasn't been part of any other movie projects since then, but it is likely that there will be more plans for her to extend her acting resume in the future.

#4 She dedicates her time to the Dean Thomas Moinet Foundation

Like many members of the WWE roster, Summer Rae is quite a charitable person and spends a lot of her time and energy supporting her family's charitable foundation that was founded as a way to support families with Hurlers Syndrome.

The rare disease affects enzymes in the body.

The foundation is in remembrance of Megan Dean and Eveline Thomas who struggled with the syndrome and were left very fragile during treatment. The foundation was set up to help families with medically fragile children so that they can offer them emotional, spiritual, and physical support throughout this time.

Summer and her family provide a lot of this support and she often takes time out of her busy schedule to help to organise and attend charity events.

#3 She's been given two of the most unwanted awards in wrestling

Summer was once part of a number of WWE storylines and it seems that two of these rivalries managed to gain a lot of negative attention.

Summer's feud with Dolph Ziggler, Rusev and Lana back in 2015 was awarded Rolling Stone's Worst Storyline for 2015, whilst Summer's match at Survivor Series back in 2013 when the Total Divas took on the Real Divas in a seven-on-seven match, was named the worst worked match for the year by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

It seems that Summer hasn't been able to counter these awards yet with any positive ones either, which should give her even more of a reason to want to return to the ring one day.

#2 She was the General Manager of FCW back in 2011

Summer Rae may not have been utilised as a wrestler by WWE over the past few years, but it seems that there is one stat that she will be proud of. Summer is the only current member of the female roster who has worked as a General Manager of a WWE show.

Summer was the General Manager in FCW throughout March and April back in 2011 before she became well-known for her in-ring ability.

It seems that her time overlooking the FCW locker room has helped her when it comes to the business side of WWE, but right now Summer needs help to get back into the ring since the WWE Universe hasn't seen her now for almost 600 days.

#1 She likes to spread the message of body positivity to women

Summer may not be on WWE screens every week anymore, but it seems that she has been able to continue to spread her message of body positivity through the WWE Universe through her social media accounts.

Summer recently wrote an article for InStyle magazine where she talked about the importance of self-love and to tell women to stop comparing themselves to someone else.

In the article, she talked about what society deems to be the way women should look as well as the fact that she doesn't understand where this opinion of what is "sexy" has come from.

She reminds all women that they are beautiful regardless of what they feel society is telling them as well as talking about the number of changes she has seen in female representation over the past few decades.

It seems that outside of WWE, Summer is becoming quite a positive role model for the next generation.
