AJ Styles WWE Champion

Since crash-landing into the World Wrestling Entertainment, it's safe to say that AJ Styles has cemented himself as one of the most talented wrestlers on the roster and of his generation.

Here's a quick look at some of his finest moments in WWE:

#1 Royal Rumble debut

Nobody was prepared for the words "I Am Phenomenal" slowly scrolling across the titantron at Royal Rumble 2016, even if they were somewhat obscured by sloppy camerawork.

Still, the entire WWE Universe exploded when Styles made his first appearance on WWE TV in over a decade.

Facing off against Roman Reigns of all people, Styles put on a good show for the crowd in attendance, lasting almost half an hour before being eliminated by Kevin Owens. The Phenomenal One had arrived.

#2 AJ Styles vs. Finn Balor

The Dream Match

Before being struck down with a mystery illness, Bray Wyatt was due to go one on one with "The Demon" Finn Balor at the TLC pay-per-view. Thankfully, AJ Styles stepped in and the two men gave the WWE Universe a dream match few thought they would ever see.

It was a solid, entertaining meeting, far from their best, but still enough to take 'Match of the Night' in many people's eyes.

Balor would get the better of Styles on this night, but this match only served in growing the legends of both men equally. There were no losers to be found here.

#3 AJ Styles vs. Dean Ambrose (TLC)

After Styles sensationally won his first WWE Championship, Dean Ambrose was hot on the heels of the man who stole the title from him.

At TLC 2016, the pair put on an over-the-top hardcore clinic, with Ambrose being able to fully embody his "Lunatic Fringe" persona. They threw everything but the kitchen sink at each other, but in the end, it would be Styles leaving with the title still around his waist.

While entertaining, this match will be remembered for Styles and his amazing 450 Splash. It's one of the most memorable spots in recent years.

#4 AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon (Wrestlemania)

While his first Wrestlemania didn't exactly go according to plan (losing to Chris Jericho), Styles had the chance to redeem himself when facing off against Shane McMahon in a well-received feud.

In a match in which Styles was expected to carry the lesser-experienced McMahon, the son of the chairman came out swinging, giving Styles a good run for his money and was actually able to match Styles in technical ability, for the most part. But, in the end, the world-travelled Styles was able to overcome the Smackdown GM.

This match opened the show. For me, it stole it. Simply sensational.

#5 The John Cena trilogy

If several years ago, you would have told me John Cena- a former 5-time U.S Champion and AJ Styles- a former 2-time U.S Champion would wrestle I never would have believed you.

In reality, however, the pair shared the ring three times on pay per view television over the course of a year. Their matches at Money in the Bank, Royal Rumble and Summerslam are some of the finest examples of in-ring storytelling we've seen in a long time.
