Finally, on an episode of SmackDown Live, Lesnar got the chance to face his old manager in a match. Paul Heyman faced Brock Lesnar in a Steel Cage match, but he was accompanied by Team Angle. At first, Lesnar had to face the World's Greatest Tag Team, and he disposed of them easily enough, before shoving Angle into the cage, busting him open. He grabbed Paul Heyman from the outside and brought him into the ring.

He had to fight off Angle, who put him in the Ankle Lock but was successful, and then he hit Paul Heyman with an F5 for the win.
