One year later, following his Money in the Bank triumph, WWE advertised that Brock Lesnar was going to reveal whether he had chosen to cash in his contract on WWE Champion Kofi Kingston or Universal Champion Seth Rollins.
Then, just like he did one year earlier, Brock Lesnar made it clear that he does not watch WWE by hilariously berating Heyman (02:40 in the video above) for not informing him that he had an entire year to decide which title he wanted to challenge for.
As it turned out, Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship later in the year, but he decided to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on Seth Rollins to win the Universal Championship at the end of the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
The match, which lasted just 16 seconds, took place moments after Rollins teamed with Becky Lynch to defeat Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans in an Extreme Rules match. Brock Lesnar then hit Rollins with two German suplexes before cashing in his contract.
Once the bell sounded, Brock Lesnar hit one F-5 on his exhausted rival to regain the Universal Championship.
