Vince McMahon’s business decisions have made WrestleMania what it is today- the Superbowl of wrestling. So, it is logical to think that he would want the main event to be quite star-studded.
Over the past few years, a Brock Lesnar vs The Rock main event was much speculated, never coming to fruition. One of those speculations were on the WrestleMania main event. Triple H on the other hand wanted Roman Reigns to be in the main event.
The fact being that he’s a young Superstar the company should invest in. But McMahon wanted Lesnar to lose to someone already a major, established star, since Lesnar has beaten The Undertaker. Whoever beats Lesnar, would be correlated to Taker as well.
So, eventually, Lesnar was not pinned. Reigns was pinned by Rollins in one of the most spectacular Mania main events ever.
