Nia Jax was one of the stars considered by many to be a WWE-lifer and safe from all the releases. She was even liked by Vince McMahon, according to reports. Her being let go shocked many.

As reported by Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Jax's release was a clear message to the roster that nobody is immune to releases.

#1 Scrapped WWE SummerSlam 2021 plans for Big E

Big E is undoubtedly in the middle of his best run in the company. However, before he won the WWE title and moved over to RAW, he was part of SmackDown. Many might've forgotten, but a feud was teased between him and the returning Aleister Black before the latter was abruptly released.

During an appearance on the Wrestling Daily podcast, talkSPORT's Alex McCarthy reported that there were plans for a match between the two at SummerSlam 2021.

"TalkSPORT's Alex McCarthy exclusively revealed on Wrestling Daily – part of the WrestleTalk network – that there were plans for Black to face Big E at SummerSlam."

Black has since joined All Elite Wrestling, where he now goes by the ring name Malakai Black. He has picked up a couple of major victories over Cody Rhodes in AEW.
