#3 The Undertaker thinks he could have changed Vince McMahon's mind about ending his WrestleMania streak
The Undertaker has held many records in WWE, but arguably his best achievement is his once-undefeated WrestleMania streak. For years, it was one of the biggest attractions at WrestleMania as no one was able to defeat The Undertaker on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
It was at WrestleMania XXX where Brock Lesnar shocked the world by conquering The Undertaker's legendary WrestleMania streak, making himself the one in 21-1. This decision did not go well with many in the WWE Universe as Lesnar was already a star and didn't need this. Speaking to SI Media Podcast, The Undertaker stated that he believes he could have changed Vince McMahon's mind about ending his streak that night.
"Could I have probably changed the finish? Maybe. I think probably I could've. It had gone back and forth several times. The day of WrestleMania when I showed up, I was going over. The finish got changed during the day."
The Undertaker revealed what went down on the day of WrestleMania XXX as Vince McMahon himself came into the dressing room and talked to him.
"I remember clear as day, I was sitting in the dressing room by myself. Vince comes walking in. Vince never comes into the dressing rooms. Usually you get summoned to his office. As soon as I seen him come in the dressing room, I knew exactly what he was coming in for. He gave me his spiel. I said, 'Are you sure? Cause once we do this, we can't go back. Once the streak's broken, it's broke.'"
"So I just had a few questions that made him think for a second and he was like, 'Yeah, this is what I want to do' and I said, 'O.K., that's what we'll do then.'"
Brock Lesnar defeating The Undertaker's streak remains to be one of the most controversial decisions in WWE history. It is interesting to wonder how different today's WWE would have looked had Lesnar not defeated The Phenom that night.
